I purchased the Predator 3500 few years back. Thinking about selling and upgrading to the 5000 duel fuel for our travel trailer. Can’t beat them for the money and then last week while in Harbor the sales guy told me that Harbor purchased some Honda patent about the engines, tried telling me they’re now the same Honda motors in them? I haven’t verified but still great generators.

Yes. The test fluid goes back to it's original color with oxygen. If you accidentally suck in coolant, it won't change back so you know you messed up the test.

I would like to hear the whole story. This guy probably came in to get it scanned to try to fix it himself and the mechanic caught on. Alot of places do charge for there scan tool because of how expensive they are and how much they need to update them...

I know right. Why pay for a diagnostic when you can just replace whatever the code says. For example, a code P0456 means replace GAS CAP DONE! P0300, replace all spark plugs DONE! P0751 replace shift solenoid DONE!
