Just love It, but it's NOT a JB's tune. The original is by Denny O'Keef.

Yes, Danny O'Keefe. But this is JB's version.

Too much emphasis on the strum patterns, I just want to learn the chord shapes with that tuning.

Open E and Open D capo'd at the 2nd fret are the same tuning. Open D and the capo lowers the risk of breaking a string which is why I do it.

I’m assuming Joni Mitchell’s people banned you using her singing along to teach this - which is nuts and will do nothing to promote her music. Silly managers if someone’s music isn’t played they will disappear

Why did Barry play so much in open tuning? I suppose it's a little easier, but it limits you.... Maurice always played in standard tuning.

Will you still be doing a lesson on Doobie Brothers Blackwater? I asked you a few years ago and you said you would be interested in doing it when you’re able to get around to it

Can you please do tutorials and some of these other hit BG songs with Barry playing an open D. I know they are done and open D because others on KZbin have tried, but they cannot teach them properly. Also, I saw Barry doing them on talk shows and open D and live. Here are the popular hits that I think most people will also enjoy and will purchase them as I will: how can you mend a broken heart, I started a joke, to love somebody, jive, talking, gotta get a message to you, words, New York, mining, disaster, run to me, how deep is your love, too much heaven, love, so right, and fanny be tender. Everyone out there who are Jerry guitar bar patriot please post if you’re interested that you too are interested in these songs, so Jerry will know to work on them. Thank you, music, patrons and most of all thank you Jerry for all these years of wonderful tutorials
