Remarkable story. I am so glad that BBC repeated this interview on the air - I just heard it 1/25/23 and have copied the links to share with my blind sister-in-law, who plays piano. She loves Fareshteh's music too and this interview both which I have sent her! She has a "talking" computer and can click on KZbin links. She hasn't mastered Facebook.

Sital Singh Sitara came to Nairobi, Kenya from Punjab, India in 1957 to join his father who was already there. He lived in Juja Road .He was the main Kirtania at Gurdwara Bazaar and Jijar Road Gurdwara. He immigrated to England in 1972 after 15 years.
