I hear you say Jennifer that if you don´t save as procreate file, you safe as PNG. JPEG is smaller, however. I presume that it depends on the goal one has with an image whether you save as PNG or JPEG. Would you say better safe then sorry and always use PNG despite the size?

Thanks a lot Jennifer, I finally took the time to watch it, made some folders, and am going to start to name everything before I drag the files to the right places. The thought of having a structure and a back up already gives me clarity!

@@bones753 sorry you're having trouble on my site. Have you tried switching to a different browser? That's usually what I do when things are not working. As for the free brush, once you get the email with the password you can get into the freebies and you'll see the art with the same flowers you see in this KZbin video. If it's also being fussy to enter the password, it could still be a browser issue. Which browser and device are you using?

Jennifer, I'm embarrassed to ask why I can't access that (most coveted) brush. :) I signed up for your newsletter, yet when I try to login, my password is not accepted. I've no doubt I've fouled something, but gosh, I sure do want that beautiful brush. Any helpful tips....from anyone? :) Thanks so much, my apologies again. <3

Hello! Are you using the password that comes in the newsletters? If so, if it's not working, you might want to manually type it in if you originally tried to cut and paste it. And finally, you could try switching browsers. But it should work if you click the Freebies button in the newsletter and use that password :)

My drag and drop to the external drive is spotty. I wish there was a way to see/do brushes and palettes like the fonts!!! Or at least selecting multiples.

This is one of the things I hate about procreate, there is no automatic way to backup your files and if SOMEONE deletes your app, you’re screwed. Unless you have an iCloud backup of your iPad content. 😂😂

Very helpful - TY Jennifer! It took me DAYS to back-up (at first). Now I set an alarm on my phone to go off once a month & also schedule a monthly back-up "date" in my Google Calendar. This way it won't take as long (hopefully) :)

I did not spend time discussing the art in the examples as I was backing them up. Anyone who has been following me knows how I feel about human rights which are intertwined with politics. The quote that shows on screen the most is an encouraging quote about how our voices matter. There's nothing wrong with that. Artists, teachers, content creators, whatever you want to call people, we are out here providing you with free information that is hopefully helpful. We get to decide how we want to run our accounts. You get to decide which accounts you want to watch. We both have that freedom.

I always always back up in iCloud. I have over 3000 artwork I’ve done it. Yes I lost about 300 of them when I reinstall the app. Big mistake. So this time I knew better.

I really like keeping most of my art out of procreate. It seems like it really hangs things up when doing things like system backups and transferring to new iPads, etc. Sorry you lost some work!

I loved it: 15 minutes (not too long, perfect for a little recreation during lunch break!) on a specific setting of the Brush Studio, with different options and tests. It's exactly what I need to memorize what each setting does (which I never take the time to do). You could make a series with lots of episodes! 😊 It was so clearly explained. And it was so exciting to test following along, so much fun to play with the colors like a child playing with his modeling clay. Thank you Jennifer.😍
