Hi Kagiso, if you live in South Africa, I bought the ribbon from iParty. It's a satin ribbon in dusty pink. I use Golden Cloud cake flour or Snowflake cake flour, they both give a light and fluffy bake. Hope this helps 😊

That's awesome. And using cupcakes from your "cupcake graveyard" is a brilliant idea! I must be honest, when I make Trifle, I usually make it with swiss roll, loaded with brandy, and lots of jelly on top. Obviously with this recipe, I stuck to how my grannies made it for the Royal Family visit. It's something different, and I'd probably add some brandy and jelly to it the next time I make it (just because that's what I'm used to with Trifle), but I think that wasn't how traditional Trifle was made 75 years ago.
