The end of the story was that Roy had left his guitar in his car so he asked the producer Sol Lessor to tell the guitar to let him back in. Roy went and got his guitar and auditioned for Lessor. Gene Autry at the time was out on strike with Republic, making personal appearances. Roy had worked at Republic in Autry's films with the Sons of the Pioneers. They put him in a film that had been scheduled for Autry "Under Western Skies" and when Gene came back, he and Roy became competitors.

A KZbinr mentioned Corinne had an annoying accent and wasn't a very good actress. I was not familiar with Corinne so I looked her up. The first video I saw was Cesar and her in Batman. Then I watched this video. Cesar had a point but was way out of line. I wonder if there was tension between them from their Batman days.

If Jose Garcia's crimes had actually been substantiated, I highly doubt Dinkins would have visited his family in this context. On the flip side, the 34th Precinct was more than likely swamped back then as open air drug markets and crime in general was massively out of control in that part of Manhattan. Dinkins was not a mayor who was soft on crime; he was a practical man who was blamed for a problem he inherited.

Notice all of the NASTY WEATHER AND STEEP RUGGED MOUNTAINS must have caused the crash. NO, Bill Clinton had him murdered and everyone else on board died as well. They call it murder, or assassination.

So-called "Joe Franklin" wasn't his real name. He was born Joseph Fortgang and obviously sold-out her heritage to shallow, greedy, & deceitful Hollywood.

"Kojak" was the most believable show on TV. "The Joe Franklin Show" was the most unbelievable. 😁 Actually, I grew up watching Joe (what an 8-year old was doing up at 4 am is still a mystery) and got a kick out of him. I was introduced to a lot of interesting "peripheral" people thanks to Joe. I always liked Telly--he was a TV network executive before he got into acting. Thanks for bringing this to us!

I am so saddened by this loss of the Keith's. It was always such a magical place! That kind of spooky Spanish villa backdrop against that twilight starry sky! This film describes it so well and I believe has more photos than I have seen in awhile! I have a fuzzy memory of going to the Triboro with my grandparents. It must have been in the late 60s or very early 70s when I was 3 or so.I was born in 65. I have never been to the Valenicia. I understand it is a church of some kind now. I am glad it's been preserved!

During my childhood I still remember when she still did the Grace Under Fire TV Series as we'll. There we're also serious issues in many of the episodes she did in her show during that time.

In the late '90s, my co-host did a radio show focusing on the Happy Land tragedy. He mentioned the fact that the careless absentee landlord, Jay Weiss, was married to Kathleen Turner. I thought that lent the story a touch of sharp contrast between the ivory-tower lifestyle the landlord enjoyed and that of the everyday people who lost their lives while simply trying to find some happiness.

Cesar Romero behaved like a a low-class A-hole. Corrinne Calvert was extremely beautiful in her prime, and I would imagine that there were many powerful men in Hollywood that had tried to "pursued" her into sex.

You could tell there was some love for the Smothers Brothers in this sketch. What makes it especially interesting is that Buddy Sheffield, one of In Living Color's head writers, wrote for an ill-fated reboot of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in 1988. The love for them really was present here.
