Hope you didn’t put it back together the way it came off. The nut goes on after the washer and the screw threads in the nut through the washer to hold the nut in place and you get a flat even smooth surface on the bearing

So would this shaft rattle continuously like a timing chain, Or would it rattle on and off at times??? Cold Start. Its not a continuous rattle. I can eliminate my trans, I got a new one at 84K miles. Most appreciated.

I have abs sensor error I can clear the code and it stays away until I reach about 30mph. I have just replaced disc and pads. And noticed one small crack in the abs sensor ring. Do you think it's more likely to be the ring rather than the abs sensor?

If the code corresponds to the ring in question then yes I would imagine that it is the cause

@@deeman17578 just comes up abs/ stability right rear. But I heard if it's the sensor it doesn't usually reset and stay off. While if its the ring you can reset it and error only comes back once driving as it's getting a broken signal from the ring.

@@bencrosbie a wee bit late but get someone to stand on the brakes and turn the bolt with a breaker bar or put a screw driver in the brake disc fins and jam it up against the calliper 👍

@@bencrosbie just a bit of WD40 and an extension pipe on the breaker bar if required. If your wheels allow it try loosening it with the wheel still on. Best of luck!

It's about 25-28Nm. I broke the tensioner tool while doing this. It's difficult either way. I wonder if you end up overtightening the bolt with this method. I always ended up loosening the tension while tightening it up to the torque. It was nearly impossible to hold the tensioner and the belt tight with that ridiculous small tool and at the same time keep the spring at the same position. 🤣 Maybe screwdriver is the best for this. although it looks like that I can't use it on Gates tensioner.

can't say for certain without seeing the car, but it may solve your problem. remove and clean egr pipe then clear the code, 30 min job

so what he's doing is 1st run both leads to your battery to check if the battery is good, you need at least 11.5 reading off just the battery. if that is good, then, disconnect the positive battery clamp and secure it so it can't arc, then disconnect the wires and buss off each the glow plugs, so just a plug in engine block, then connect positive lead to battery pos terminal after you reconnect the battery clamp so you have power again, and then get a helper to cycle key on (should stay on 3-20 seconds depending on water temp of coolant) . (have a helper or run back and forth like i did) and see if get about 10-15 amps (good plug) reading by touching neg lead to tip of glow plug that has other wires removed. no reading means bad plug. if no plugs read good, check your process, they usually go bad one at a time, or maybe over time if you never drive in cold and notice problems as they occur.

Yes I replaced the caliper in question like I done with the other side previously. They can be got spurious for a very reasonable price

I cannot say for certain without seeing the it. But I would advise to clean everything thourly, check the wiring for correct signal and voltage and make sure the egr valve is operating correctly.

Hi, So its Multimeter neg to battery neg then positive lead to the glow plug for positive charge same voltage as full battery ? Also if you want to test the Glow Plug Relay you would just test the resistance ?? I have a fault code for glow plug relay or glow plugs
