I’m trying follow the steps and nothing happens, for how long to hold? That’s a bit annoying that’s the only way to update

What I'm finding using the Anova Pro 3 is that the modelling light power at 100% in flash mode, is only around maybe 15% of the max intensity in constant light mode. Is there are way of setting the modelling light intensity to a bigger fraction of the max constant light intensity?

Is there any one making actual tutorials for your lights? These are more like ads and are very annoying. Even a manual would help

So I love the lights (neo 3) but yes the app is super wonky and not good. I have two ulaniz lights (120watts) and the app works beautifully and doesn’t involve you to jump on the wifi. And you’re able to group the lights. I really hope you guys fix the app cause the product is awesome.

Very impressive. But I do have a question. Is "diffusion" used differently in Britain than in the US and Canada? While the Anova's digital "diffuser" cuts the light on both Mr. Timehin and the model, I don't see any diffusion. It appears to act more as a scrim. i.e. it cuts the intensity but to my eye, the shadow quality remains the same. And I can't see the light spread across the kitchen counter, plant, knife rack, changing; only the intensity. What am I missing? (Okay. Two questions.)

We certainly need more informative videos like this. I'd love to start doing them but don't have any models to work with... I'll think about some vid ideas to release. I'm starting up a new channel beyond my music/songwriter channel. such a crazy light right here! it'll be my next light for sure (I photograph weddings) and I have the Smart Softbox already for Aeos 2 Pro. that works with this light?

I bought 2 Rotolight NEO3s. The fans are so noisy in video mode that they are usable when filming a talking head video. You can turn the fans off, but it lowers the light output considerably. Really disappointed. The most disappointing thing is that I've had ZERO help from roto light support. They don't even respond. Perhaps they need to change their slogan to "THE WORLDS MOST NOISIEST LIGHT"

What about the noisy fan on the neo 3 that starts making a loud fan noise on start-up? The fan noise is way to loud to film talking head videos.

This is groundbreaking technology now if you could just make it bigger that way I don't have to carry a gigantic 32-in softbox

These are really good. I just wish they were wider. It's still too small in the work I do. We have technology that does this. It's just how come these things can't be bigger?

Only spoilt by releasing the Pro versions of both shortly after. I bought 2 neo 3's on Kickstarter program.

How does Neo 3 Pro compare to on-camera flashlight ? Which one is more powerful?

To do the setting, it seemed to be so awkward before the Pro versions of the lights with their useful LED displays.

I second @charliegreen1989. For the filter, I was thinking of a Polarpro Mist, a Tiffen Low Contrast 1/2 or 1/4, or Schneider Hollywood Black Magic. But the Tiffen 1/4 would be my guess. Waiting for the delivery of my Aeos 2 Pro kit 😄

This did not help --- with Godox there are channels and groups - I can't get this working with my Anova 3 ... you need to tell us more!

When are you going to release the group option as it will be really useful to control both lights at the same time rather than keep switching the WiFi. Also, using as a flashlight, any plans on updating the firmware so we can control the flash power through the trigger rather than changing it on the light. It will be very useful when working alone and be able to adjust the flash settings without keep going back and forth to light for manual adjustment

I posted the same message on their Facebook page…instead of correcting their mistake, they blocked my ability to post any further messages on their page. This is rotolight, so arrogant to their customers!

Hello All, I placed an order for two Annova Pro 3 couple of weeks ago. I am trying hard to get an update on shipping but not getting reply from rotolight sales. For reasons better known to them have decided to maintain radio silence in spite of my repeated mails. I am posting in this group with a hope that Rod Gammons would reply as it is horrible to take your customer for a ride. I am beginning to wonder why I have invested in four Annova earlier versions, three Aoes and two Neos. Whatever be the reason for this silence does not give them a right to take their customers for a ride and keep them in dark.

Hello, just to be sure... I could send a Nanlite 300b for exemple and benefit from the trade up program for an AEOS 2 Pro or an Anova 3 Pro for example ?

I really think it was a complete waste of money buying two of neo 3 during the kickstarter campaign only to replace it a year after. Reason being that this feature is not available in the update. The neo 2 was sold for 4 years before it was replaced.

Yesterday 17-03-2024 I bought a Neo 3 pro I’m not a pro photographer just a keen hobbyist, I’m proud to be able to buy a quality product that is British, we have lost so much of industry we created in the past, this is a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work Rotolight. 👍

ROTOLIGHT are absolutly an amazing essential for any photographer. Super easy to use, for constant or flash photography, quality of light and build. NOTHING comes close. I now have 5 AEOS. AMAZING must have.
