If this movie had a remake Neil Patrick Harris could easily play the maitre'd.

Cameron was invaluable to Ferris and his plotting and scheming and also this day off with the car and phony calls. I think Ferris knew how great Cameron was and only wanted him to be all he could be when he went off on his own. He just wanted to make memories with Cameron and Sloane in their final days when they were all together in High School. He knew things may soon be different and wanted to seize the day. He also wanted Cameron to be successful and he knew that he could if he just loosened up and and gained some self confidence.

Dude my best friend growing up was always talking about Abe Froman and whenever I’d ask him what he was referencing he couldn’t remember. I literally found this video during a search that had nothing to do with Ferris Beuler’s Day Off. The hell are the odds?

A few years ago, we were at Disney Hollywood Studios, and for grins & giggles made our lunch reservation under A. Froman. When our time came, the cast member didn't miss a beat, and instead of calling the given name, he yelled out looking for The Sausage King of Chicago'. Only a few people in the waiting area got the joke, which made it even funnier.

This scene reminds me I read in the newspaper. The CEO from Porsche had a invitation to a benefit diner in Stuttgart. Arrived, the woman ask who it is. He tells his name, but he dosen´t stand on the guest list, because he´s the special guest at this evening. The woman don´t let him and his wife into the building. He says:"Ok, thanks. I watch this movie once in a while to remind me of America before political correctness and of the 80s which by all evidence appears to be the greatest decade in American history. I was born in 1979 so I missed out on truly living the 80s, but I live through it with it's movies and music.
