I laid a wet towel over the top of my deck fence and much later when I went out to check on it. The middle of the towel was missing. Seems my local alpha squirrel needed nest material to.

Candy has strong teeth. Squirrels are smart enough to use hard nut shells to sharpen their teeth.. Candy's teeth are strong. As a result, the nuts are very tasty.

The squirrels in my yard don't like peanuts. I bought 5lbs of raw unsalted peanuts, and they wouldn't touch them. They like pecans and walnuts in the shell. I also tried Brazilian nuts, but no go.

Ate her snack, tested the material to see if she could work with it, and gone. Smart Squirrel.

Don't get mad at her! She is trying to find some nesting materials, and she thinks the curtains is good enough for it. They use anything that is soft and flexible.

I used to like squirrels. Then they started beheading my tulips every spring. They don't eat the blooms. I know it is squirrels because i saw one do it. Now I have to cage my tulips if I want to see the blooms.

❤❤❤ my friend loved squirrels, she feed them, and had names for them , Susie, tore her screen from her door, she could see the peanuts, that fall they got in her attic , she was unaware they was there, they chewed her car wires, and late fall chewed her wires in the attic and burnt her house down. 😢

Males, will let you observe them getting bedding. Females will not, they will permanently abandon it. if caught. part of "hide the baby nest" instinct. try it. We have Douglas Squirrels. Candy is super cute.
