My ,2012 370z Touring is reading a ,C1109 open loop due to insufficient engine temperature!! I've replaced the battery & cleared code but it keeps coming back & my temperature gauge keeps jumping to almost all the way up 1 second & under halfway the next,! Plus I have no heat just cold air !! Do you have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it!!

My 2019 370z sport has the Akebono big brakes, which look good and do a good job of stopping the car. I had a set of Stoptech stainless steel braided brake lines put in to firm up the brake pedal and now I'm going to do a rotor and pad replacement. I'm getting the Z1 Motorsports Akebono two-piece rotors that have aluminum hats and slotted discs, for a reduction in unsprung weight at the front end of 10 lbs per wheel and a 5 lb reduction on each of the rear wheels. Ther rotors are also directional, with curved vanes that will force more air through the discs. Some Motul RBF 600 will be used to flush the brake system. Before, I had replaced my forged aluminum Rays wheels with a set of forged magnesium monoblock wheels from Litespeed Racing and shaved off about 9 lbs from each wheel. The reduction in unsprung and rotational mass was immediately apparent. I'm eager to see how the lighter brake rotors will feel.

Ok, as of november 15th 2024, i bought c38r supercharger, 4 bar kmni sensor, FID 1300cc injectors from topguns (i dealt with aaron) $7800-7850 after taxes and shipping. Return fuel system S1.E with hellcat 525lph from admintuning for $1300. Stage 4 super 6 clutch and 19" billet flywheel with CMAK kit for $1367. All should be delivered to a shop at the latest december 6th, 2024. I paid 10k for labor and a fully built engine, perry proof engine(me proof). So, basically, just over $20k for my build so far. I also have carbon fiber vis ams hood, c.f. roof cap, c.f. rear window louvers for $3300 after taxes and shipping from fly1 motorsports. When i lived in hawaii i got Carbon fiber vented front fenders from fly1 motorsports in 2020, $1500, c.f. v-2 duckbill trunk lid with back up camera hole for and c.f. v-2 carbon fiber rear diffuser (forget from where) for $2200. Kw v1's $2k, front and rear sway bars $1k, long tube headers $1200, takeda long tube dual CAI and exhaust from lth to tip like $1700(forget where and it was a package deal) There you go on what ive spent so far. 😅😅😅

I know this is old but I have been looking for confirmation that these pressure bleeders will actually fill and flush a completely empty/dry system. Logically it seems like it should when I think about how it works but in practice Im unsure if it will waste brake fluid or need an excessive amount with the master cylinder starting dry. Also, if they if the master cylinder is dry, when you are pressure bleeding, would it make sense to pump the brake pedal while under pressure to get air trapped in the master out, or will it get out without pressing the pedal at all, and if do press the pedal will it potentially cause a problem where you could potentially push pressure back the wrong way or something, idk... I'm not an expert on how brake systems work or even how hydraulic systems work but I really would like to know what to expect before attempting, as I have never seen any videos discussing these things in much detail. I would prefer not having to prime the master cylinder the way I have seen described as proper without this pump, but at the same time I don't want to second guess if the thing actually bled my brakes safely and properly. Also I have heard doubts that this works for the clutch well enough but I again have not heard any explanation to why, it seems like the clutch would be a simpler system to bleed than the brakes, all I can think is that you may have to potentially press the clutch pedal down for some reason no matter what to get things flowing right, idk honestly.

I must disagree with you on the drilled and slotted rotors they bite much better in street spirited driving, i have ceramic rotors with Hybrid and its much better at braking, thats my experience with my purchase

I'm getting ready to do this on my Z with the Akebono sport brakes and am going with the Z1 two-piece rotors. I am, however, a bit undecided on the choice of brake pads. The current OEM Akebono ceramic pads have been excellent for low noise and dust and do perform pretty well in braking performance but I think their somewhat low coefficient of friction(µ ~ 0.37) could be improved so that the performance of the brakes can be brought up to more closely match the longitudinal grip(>1g) of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that I have on the car. I was looking at maybe the G-Loc GS-1 street pad that supposedly has a COF of about 0.47. I noticed that you used the EBC yellowstuff. Could you comment on that choice over the other two pads, the redstuff and the bluestuff available from EBC. How did your EBC pads perform in the noise and dust department? How about the initial bite and the linearity of braking force with pedal pressure? Are you able to modulate the braking force effectively when coming in fast to a sharp turn? Another possibility would be the line of pads from Carbotech that seem very similar to G-Loc. Any info that you could share would be greatly appreciated and most helpful, thanks in advance.
