If I may offer, it will help to calm the cl airplane by straightening your control arm. Find where your wrist needs to be for level flight, then if you wish to ascend raise your arm at the shoulder. I was taught this by my dad in the 1970's. Hope it helps.

The main issue was an AFT CG … that I forgot to check prior the first flight. Here is the flight with the right CG : kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnaZqJKlnJ6Chassi=XM6F3i5h4PrtoJb9

Why does there always seem to be that ONE guy always tuning a nitro engine when ever there is a dead stick or possible control issue who is either oblivious or so rude not to shut his engine off for a moment so a pilot can think in peace for a couple seconds?? I fly all forms of power and I don’t tune engines while other engines are flying as a respectful courtesy.

I’m not such a great pilot. I was just lucky by the position where it happen (high and moderate speed) Staying calm is the key for a nice outcome 😊

Nicely done! bravo! did you find the cause later? some air buble in air filter or ? restart is nice for save, but always search for cause of the problem because sometimes you can be low, or too slow to make it back to the runway

Hey Tomislav, I checked all the turbine data on the Jeti telemetrie and found absolutely no errors UAT was still full of fuel, no air in the UAT … so no clue why it happen 🤷🏼‍♂️

How could you get the CG right with the engine all the way in the back? I have built a delta very similar to that one but I had to mont the 0.049 cox at the front otherwise it would have been extremely tail heavy. Did you use any kind of nose weight? Just wandering, thanks for the help .

Perhaps the plane is lacking the 'reflex' setting for the elevons: a default small up deflection as their zero position. usually about 5° up

When I was still in high school (1976), I built a delta wing, pusher engine Cox TD 051, 2 channel Rc plane. It had a foam wing and balsa fuselage and it looked almost exactly like what you built. When I got to try and fly it, I decided to not trust some other idiot to hand launch my plane, so I did it myself. I had built in a small skid under the wing to hold on to to throw the plane but it was difficult to get a good grip with the oil and smooth surface. The net result was a stall and nose dive. The damage was a broken nose in front of the wing. I suspect that it must have been too heavy and the elevons too small to handle a slow launch. Yikes. History DOES repeat itself! I never got to repair or try that plane out again. I regret that I never gave it another go. In my mind, I had categorized this plane as a "not such a good idea" or "not a reliable idea" and just left it at that. You cannot believe how much I was rooting for your Foamie Delta to fly well, only for it to be as unsuccessful as mine was all those 47 years ago! Oh, well. Please tell me you will try it again!

( I am now 80 and hadnt flown C/L since the early 1970s ) I think I remember BARFING too!!! 😝😝😝😝😝😝🙁🙁😮😮😆😆😆

Is this Nobler flying in your video really built from a Svenson kit or did you only mean that Svenson has made Nobler kits? I have seen only Top Flite Noblers (Aldrich and Gieseke), but I know that there has been Svenson kits available, too. I think they're rarities, at least they have not been available here in Finland, although the other Svenson kits were quite common in the 70's and early 80´s.

no model choose yet, but i would go for an RC one and in that case a fuel pressure regulator is required (that I dont have yet) And the other problem is, here in Belgium, the use of Pulse Jet is completely prohibited by law. (because of the noise)

Hi, I made this plane some years ago from a plan on the internet. I put a 3000KV inrunner and a 30A ESC in it. 2 cell LiPo and it was really fast, creating a very high noise. Fun to fly !
