Just use "Artboard Tool" + "Alt", hold and drag new Artboard from the old one (like layers in Photoshop), than inside "Layers" panel select your duplicated contents, click "Menu" icon in top right corner, select "Collect in New Layer" and that's it, no need to hassle with moving layers... All ADOBE need to implement is just duplicate contents on new layer when duplicating artboard, i might be wrong, but that's so obvious.

Jesus fucking christ illustrator is one of the worst software experiences in my life. Delete key does nothing on layers and artboards, keyboards configs are utterly ridiculous, you can't set custom shortcuts for actions besides function keys (?!!?!?!?!), sheeesh what a fucking mess

I've been meaning to write a comment on this video and for some reason I've not done so yet! :)) Just a quick warning: this comment might get somewhat long so I would advise reading it all the way through. anyways, this is a very cool concept. I've done something similar (adding my own percussion to my own piano playing, such that I don't have to be 'forced' to rely on a separate drummer for percussion), except that I've been doing the percussion with beatboxing, which is when you use your mouth to imitate drum sounds. As cool as that is, though, it does have disadvantages. The most obvious is that it limits the ability to sing or talk while playing, while still allowing the drums to continue uninterrupted. And while it's technically possible to sing while beatboxing simultaneously (and not actually that hard to do, I might add), it does impair your singing substantially. It's easy to see why: you have to alter how the words sound because you're also trying to make the drum sounds with the mouth. Playing the drum sounds with the feet instead of the mouth avoids all this. So with that in mind, I've been seriously considering switching over to drumming with the feet instead. Even for non-vocalists, drumming with the feet instead of the mouth also has its advantages. Just the ability to do anything you would normally with your mouth (like saying something to your audience like "are you all having a good time? Are you all OK?") while still keeping the drums and keyboard going is a nice thing to have. Trying to do that with beatboxing just won't work, for the same reason that singing while beatboxing impairs the singing. Oh, and of course, the fact the drums are played with the feet instead of the mouth means you can also eat or drink something while playing! :) If you've ever tried to beatbox while eating or drinking, you know how much of a mess that is, literally. You'll almost certainly spit your food or drink out! Also, a little observation I made while listening: it sounds like you're still controlling the sustain pedal on the keyboard even though you're drumming with the feet. I presume this is because you're drumming with only 1 foot which thus frees up the other foot for the sustain pedal? I cannot see the video because of the fact that I'm visually impaired (completely blind even), but that's what I'm imagining is going on. In fact, for my own foot drumming concept I've actually thought of a way to control the sustain pedal even while drumming with both feet! I'll explain that in another comment though (if you're interested in knowing more about that).

For me, the whole point of duplicating the artboard is to be able to have a separate, clean layers panel for each artboard - like in photoshop. This method from I can tell doesn't do that. The layers may technically be "separate", but the Layers panel is not.
