Great video, thanks for posting it. I just bought an older formula 500 "project". Came with a cbr 600rr motor. Any recomendation on where to find parts for these cars? I need drive belts, sprockets, fuel cell, additional bushings to raise the ride height, etc. Im planning to autocross the car.

Been there done that - tough learning. The McMahans have insulated the entire fuel system to keep heat away along along with insulating the exhaust system by both wrapping and completely insulating the areas near the pipes - remember that the MC was designed to run in the open air thus it is NOT happy all boxed up behind you. Even the fuel cell - we discovered the heat boiling the gas inside the fuel cell! Another tough lesson - having spares of ALL wear items, thus many drivers use a bigger trailer just for the spare wear items. BTW, you could have gone out on Saturday late and put in the laps to get a finish and learn the car. All of this will help you when you get your F600.

Getting mad at the car and having a fit does not enhance the image of the F600 cars and drivers. You should be happy with the laps that you did and didn't wreak anything. The motorcycle powered cars are a lot more complicated than the 2 cycle powered cars. So just more things that could go wrong. Better luck next year or your next race.

Idk, I’ve seen much much worse in NASCAR and other races. Adrenaline is high, your drive to win is high, so you’re allowed to unleash all that frustration without hurting anyone when things go south for you... No harm no foul here. I’d rather see the passion in drivers.
@petedamico69893 ай бұрын
Agree. I'd rather see him react so that I can actually understand just how frustrated he is. It s the human experience. It's not like he was kicking the tires or trying to flip the car over or went into the paddock and starting punching random people in the face. He still looked professional.

I have an 06 Tundra double cab and brakes are horrible and it’s 4.7 V8. But still purring like a kitten at 300k. Love the looks and it can only tow 6000lbs. Gets 17mpg or 13 mpg towing.

My ex brother in law had trouble bleeding them. I’ve read blogs that say they’ve even taken it to Toyota and they charge them and still come out spongy. Not sure what to do. The front right wheel came off sheared the ball joint in half while I was towing my pontoon boat. Had to pay a wrecker to tow the truck and boat home. I still need to do the driver side. I sure don’t want that to happen again. I heard if it gets loose it will shear it into. Wish I had known that it needed to be done prior to this happening. I’m sure I’ll take it to Toyota to find out what else is needed. My ex did a lot of things to get it ready for the next 300k miles and I did get the list from Toyota. I guess this wasn’t on there or he decided it didn’t need to be done. Ugh

You did a beautiful job in everything you did. Wrap to turbo change and tune. Near perfect 911 in my view. I just traded my 23 Boxster S turbo for an older 911S 991.1 with N/A engine. I prefer the turbo set up. Like the low engine RPM power for everyday driving. Sights set on a 991.2 with turbo and updated Apple PCM. The older PCM is a brick. Thanks for your video.

With your mileage, you wouldnt really benefit from an electric truck. Time itself alone will degrade the battery not to mention weather conditions. By the point the point your at now with your tundra and that mileage. You would've already been looking for a new electric truck with your battery dying out. The new tundras aint nothing to write home about neither.
