It’s actually SUPER upsetting that people haven’t really given her much attention since her songs “die first” or “IHYMUYD” and it’s sooo annoying.

Sadly with the TikTok - musician stigma (sometimes valid) and the reception of Pain, it didn’t lead to the best outcome in the public eye. Which sucks because her more recent music is so good!!!!

@ yeah, pain to me was a good first song to release. Was very basic and showed off her unique vocals. Internet warriors can be so mean! She definitely deserves better

While the singles have a lot of 80's and 90's pop elements, this is still a very experimental album. She actually uses the pop elements as part of the story telling. The pop driven songs represent a sense of complacency, and she describes To Be Alright as being the last stage before the problem becomes all consuming. The pop driven songs are (I think) meant to represent that complacency and avoidance of the problems. A sort of numbness. The Essence is the last song before the awakening, and Aurora starts to let herself experience all of the emotions she's been suppressing.

This album is amazing especially for a debut album. I’ve been listening to him since American Idol, before he even had music. He is my favorite artist and I’m so happy he’s getting the recognition he deserves.💗 Also “Cry” is about a toxic friendship and “In The Stars” is about his great grandmother passing away.

Love of Mine is one of my favorites but I think because I saw him live and that song was just him on the piano playing and him singing and honestly it was so beautiful it was like time stopped, it was crazy. Also Friend is my absolute favorite!! Plus yes you should for sure listen to all the rest of his songs, they are all so good!

You have an iphone and apple watch, you have resources. Buy a decent speaker, record with at least apple wired headphones, use a nice polo or shirt, and not a washed sad collar pink polo, and for GOD'S SAKE, remove the old spice in the background.

enjoyed hearing your thoughts, i have had this album on repeat since it dropped! they've been telling this story through their music for like the last 10 years and this album will finish the story, theres a lot to unpack but if you're interested in checking out some of the story they released a short video called 'I am Clancy' earlier this year on their youtube channel that kinda gives an overview of the story. there is also a music video for each song on this album that are worth checking out, very creative and a few of them are related to the story as well.
