I have the Japanese version of films and there is an extra spoken word bit in the intro. Unless it was edited out of this vid for some reason.

I haven't heard this classic track in a long time... stumbled upon it while listing to acoustic version of blue (learning to play it on guitar). This track really does f*kn rock! Jimmy's drumming is amazing. You're right Mobken, the last part of the track is absolutely amazing.

When you piece together what various contemporaries & colleagues of his have had to say over the years (plus Billy's own words), he was (& is) one of the most talented people in the game, but loopy as fuck and concerned about all the wrong things.

After around 2:20 does it sound like "Silverfuck" to anyone else, particularly the "I feel your winter" part.

@drevpile And what exactly would the "real" Pumpkins be? Iha with his 3 songs per year or D'Arcy with her... her... I dont' know, her blonde hair? Jimmy was a real asset, and absolutely important for the early Pumpkin sound, but the other two were never that decisive.

@houseofglass21 Agreed. Coming from someone whose played guitar their whole lives and has been influenced by all the greats. I put Billy Corgan up there with the likes of Hendrix, Satriani, Van Halen, and Chuck Berry. Billy Corgan could arguably be the Greatest. (In fact I would argue that point)

This song should have been on Gish. That outro guitar solo is some of the best lead guitar I've ever heard. Corgan was a guitar god.

I absolutely love this song; I kinda wish there was a studio version, but this live performance seems perfect so I wouldn't want it spoilt by a studio/demo track. Classic Corgan riff and shredding!
