Very rare indeed. The 280 TE were never imported here other than the grey market to my understanding so those are really “unicorns”.

Ended up selling the car to my dad... my parents were in town visiting... we came over the to showroom. He sat in the E Type Jaguar, then asked me some questions about the E class. He liked the answers... "Can I drive it?" he asked... so off we went. We got back from the drive and he said... "I'll take it." and that was that! He's pretty much my best customer. (2 x R129s, a 300CE cab and others... ) The apple doesn't far fall from the tree.

I grabbed mine a few months ago 2014 63k one owner form the Mercedes dealership 4matic … it’s beautiful for 18k premium sound and a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty ….

M103 is plenty adequate for the 126, It can still cruise at over 100 mph. all day.

Do you think this is a good deal considering market today? I had one Mercedes c class diesel and I loved the car. Was very reliable. The thing is that I’m not much familiar with a Mercedes V6 petrol engines and if they are reliable. Any opinions on that? Thanks

I had a 1986 560 SEL. You could plant that accelerator on the highway and it would just go and go. It was like driving a battleship on clouds.

I have both types in my collection, the W 111, 220 SEb convertible an also W 113 230 SL roadster, the W 111 is much comfortable, W 113 is a sportscar, but I like them all, both car‘s were produced on a extremly high standard in quality and craftmanship. My W111 and also W113 are fited with automatical gear box.

When the color from you'r w114 Mercedes-Benz is number 903 then is it db 903 blau in german language in englisch language is it db 903 blue i think that db means daimler benz there exist more blue color's as db 904 dunkelblau in englisch language db 904 darkblue but there exist many and many more blue color's i give you another blue color db 917 aquablau in englisch language it means waterblue it is a lichtblue color

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!
