@c.j.echave22 күн бұрын
Check out Two Faced Star or some of their older stuff as well as their Lead Guitarist Charlie Robbins' solo project Syncatto Victor, the rhythm guitarist started the band under a different name (Art By Numbers) and put out a album before going through a line-up change and ultimately becoming the band they are now, check that album out too if you want more, it's called Reticence: The Musical

Not my favorite song by them but still can appreciate the build and ending. Btw.. Surely you’ve heard “Invent Animate” right? They have the djenty breakdowns you want LOL

If not, i recommend “false meridian” and “immolation of night”🔥

For sure, love their guitar work!

This track was super refreshing while listening to the album. Pretty laidback but still very engaging imo. Love the drum and guitar work in this. And the vocals too! Not the typical vocal lines that I expected.
@hailstone_27 күн бұрын
Yeah, this song surprised me in a weird way. The timing threw me off, big time. But like all of their work, it grew on me 🔥

You're probably thinking about their album one. I think this album is some of Dan's best vocal performances for sure. You should checkout twelve foot ninja - one hand killing. I think this band will catch you off guard if you have not heard of em lol. Watch it with the music video if you can
@koreanreactions84892 ай бұрын
You're right it was One! I absolutely love Twelve Foot Ninja and that song is always a favorite for surprising people lol

Bryan said in a podcast recently they’re heavily experimenting with background sounds and crazy stuff going on behind everything. He said they didn’t do this in the past bc they wrote to play live and didn’t know how to incorporate what they wanted to do in a live setting. This album, they said screw if, we are going to go crazy and experiment and worry about the live stuff later. Pretty cool
@koreanreactions84892 ай бұрын
Ok ok that makes sense, it's great to know they're expanding their sound! I really enjoyed this one - thanks for watching
@Hoganply3 ай бұрын
Oh no, they're unquestionably prog. Love how cohesive the album is with the way the songs slide into one another. Very 'One', in many ways.

@@koreanreactions8489 oh dude tracks like Kaleidoscope and God He Sees in Mirrors from their new album…nonstop disgusting fills with the beefiest bass tone i’ve ever heard. The Violent Sleep of Reason is way more jazzy than the other albums due to Dick, the bass player, writing 6 tracks with Tomas. Still insanely groovy though.
@koreanreactions84892 ай бұрын
@@Retseadog The grooviness is what I'm after with them but there's no denying their talent in all their works. I crave the bounce of New Millenium Cyanide Christ and Rational Gaze

Coming in late to the channel. Actually found your Thornhill- Nurture review. Thornhill has been my more recent top bands. Karnivool Has been my favorite band since I heard this song back in middle school. Each of their albums are their own thing while still maintaining the band's identity. From the looks of it you have reviewed a song from Sound Awake which is my personal favorite album of theirs.
