So, just a few questions to clarify. 30.05 you must have a permit to carry. Does that mean concealed and open carry are ok if you have a permit? 30.06, No carry no permit or permit? I assume that means open carry is out too.

I have an LTC. I went into a used bookstore carrying and unfortunately when I bent down to grab a book the lady working the counter noticed. She asked me to leave and I did , I told my wife go ahead and finish shopping I’ll be in the truck . The young lady called the police , why I don’t know I left like she asked. Sheriff came and spoke with me , I told him I genuinely did not see the sign . It was black lettering on a tinted window all the way down at the bottom of the window close to the sidewalk in very small lettering . He told me that the sign did not comply with posting laws and wished me a good day. He went back in the store and advised them the sign was not compliant. All in all a good interaction and I learned a bit about the posting regulations. Thanks for getting this information out

Any signage on private property no matter how it is worded saying no weapons allowed must be obeyed or face trespassing charges. There does not even have to be a sign. An owner of private property or responsible party may order anyone off the property if they are possessing a firearm and they do not wish them to. Y'all gunna get some people in trouble.

I knew the answer right away because some years back there was such a huge stink about being able to carry a handgun. Since there was (and still remains) nothing specific about wrapping a long gun around yourself while grocery shopping in Texas, that's exactly what some people did just out of spite.

i were canik holster with belt because its easy on and off. i have to go into courthouse and leave in a lock box for car. philster enigma with sport belt and enigmod leas when i don't have to take it off.
