next time tilt your Webcam a bit downward and studie the rule of thirds. It'll take just 2 seconds but it will be more pleasant to watch ❤

I would disagree that videos on ANY smartphone is better, except maybe specific scenarios, but no one beats the consistency and versatility of an iPhone

For 429 you could buy a used 13 Pro, the SE really cant compete at this price point.

Why did you choose the regular pro over the max? Specifically reasons pls, or can you make a video on it because nobody really goes into depth on this topic. I personally feel iOS is made for that size and the whole point of a mobile phone is to be...mobile. I went from 14 pro to the 16 pro max it was wayyy too big so I returned it for the regular 16 pro and it's amazing.

Well you named it, the pro max is way too big. The whole reason I skipped the 15 Pro was because it didn't get the same camera updates as the Pro Max and I did not want to buy a Pro Max. This year the regular Pro has the same camera, same feautres and it has the battery life of a Pro Max iPhone, so it was a no brainer for me. I will make a full review of the 16 Pro in the upcoming week where I will talk more about this, but right now I'm in a middle of a full camera review so that will have to wait for a bit longer

Great review, as a portrait photographer myself I am considering upgrading from my iPhone 13 Pro. I too am concerned about giving up the 3x 77mm fixed lens. I have seen a lot of other photographers praise the 13 pro. But I find that portrait mode could be a bit better, especially with blurring hair. Considering the 15 pro as it has the 3x lens. 2x to 5x is just too extreme a leap in focal lengths…Curious what you were using before the 16 Pro?

I come from a 14 Pro. Missing the 3x is definitely something I was afraid of, however the 5x with its background compression is worth it. Also you could zoom manually 3x times and still get a portrait if you really need it. The 15 Pro is a great choice too, if you‘re gonna be editing photos in Lightroom anyway, you might as well pass on the new photographic styles. Also the 15 Pro can also get a portrait if you zoom in 5x times manually I just posted some pictures with the 5x lens on the community tab, so you can check those out.

@@heyimadrian.4546 what do you mean by background compression, what is that. Is that the blur because I noticed when talking videos with the 5x on the 16 pro, the background has this beautiful blur making the subject stand out, it's really nice.

@@ls7vz background compression means that the background is closer to the object. The bigger the zoom, the more compression it will have. So for example let's say you're standing far away from an object, if somebody takes a picture of you with a wide lens, that object will be far in the background of the picture, but if you take the same picture with a zoom lens then that object will be really close to you in the picture, despite it being far from you in reality. That is background compression

I wouldn‘t agree, not everybody needs/wants AI. It‘s all just marketing, also the 15 Pro supports AI as well. There‘s also workaround to get AI working on the 14 Pro and older devices

I wasn’t hating, rather just explaining how it’s unacceptable for a phone in 2024 to cost 900€ and still have 60 hz and usb 2.0 I’m an Apple user myself, so it would make little to no sense for me to hate and with 400 subs I’m definitely not getting paid, even by KZbin itself. This is the iPhone that I want to buy this fall. It has not sold well which is always an opportunity to buy a good phone for a bargain price. It has already being sold for the same price as the regular iPhone 14 and I am sure that it will sell for much less on Black Friday.

I’m still using my iPhone 11. It’s about to hit its third anniversary of use and the battery is still at 88% health (89% if I am to believe coconut battery). I’m not a heavy user though. It still does absolutely everything I ask of it and I expect to get at least 2 more years out of it (probably with a new battery at some point). I think if you are not chasing any single novelty that comes out, you can expect a long lifespan in your iPhone. I personally don’t care about AI on my phone so I’m perfectly happy with the new features I’m getting out of iOS 18 (particularly the home screen customization and the better integration of reminders with the calendar).
