You know a lot about these? I’ve got a dell quay dory 13 I’ve pulled the rear floor out of once I noticed the drain plugs were almost gone and had been leaking. Foam was pretty wet near the plugs but doesn’t seem super wet forward of this I’m trying to decide if I need to pull the entire floor or not

these boats are perfection, also do you know how to make the wood hand rails look like new again? we've used a varnish but it doesn't last long before going back to the dry look, nice boat regardless 👍
@sovereign_skipper6 ай бұрын
Hello teak usually has that raw look. Over time it goes silver from oxidation. You can buy a two part teak cleaner to restore the colour without sanding it. Varnish in an exposed enviroment will always peel over time due to expansion of wood and uv rays

Hello david nidaplast will be a cheaper option you can buy from a supplier called panel systems. If you want the green board it is called Armacell there are a couple of suppliers ull be able to find on google

So many steps, looks like it takes a lot of hard work. So is the thickness of the transom build what dictates the max Hp? Or is it a max weight? 👍
@sovereign_skipper10 ай бұрын
Transom thickess = amount of HP but weight comes into it a little but weight tends to grow with hp. So 200-300hp is 70mm thick

Did you use use the hull bottom running surface to match your bracket angles ? Will it be more of a hull extension which extends the boats effective length vs adding setback? Looking to make this but didn’t wNt to glass it to hull
