David Cassidy's career would have been very different had he formed an actual band, recorded and toured. He would have built up his bona fides and not be seen as a TV star pretending to be a musician. He made his career choices and enjoyed/suffered the consequences.

I love this live version of I am Clown especially the arrangement. We miss David what a lovely man he was inside and out. I went to the Concert at White City Stadium in London in 1974..I was 14.David was my first love.

thanks for this, I have trouble convincing folks at 21 I saw DC on the WJ show, with Dr. John as his sidekick. The biggest take away I got from this was unfortunatly sitting through the 45 minutes the producer tried to coddle DC to just say those few lines. DC thought it was a joke and it took them 5 minutes just to get the opening names in order, then ten on jokes about whats in their pipes, all on DC. The croud was not impressed, lol. I had to watch 35 minutes of them word by word, back and forth laughing, then you listen to ten minutes on just the punch line? Would you be laughing, and all you get is a few seconds of bad joke.

David was so gorgeous...!!! Natural, beautiful smile, voice so wonderful.... So sad he's not with us no more... I was 15 years old when I first heard his songs abd this song that adore then and still do .. I'm Mexican and grown in Mexico and I remember watching his show every week..! I adore him ! I was a goofy teeny bopper crazy for cassidy back during the Partr. Fam show. As an adult...I learned from numerous co-workers who had the unfortunate experience to work with him. His behavior .... despicable. He also had a reputation of wearing fishnet (see through) underwear back stage to show off his "junk". Not a man of quality character.
