Such a beautiful unforgettable voice. Jimi was still going strong in 2009 about 58 years old. Plus he has fantastic CDs that came out around that time of Crossroads Moment, One Man's Trash, and Never Too Late. There's also the release of Target In Range in 2017 and the recently released on his birthday, August 2024, Jimmy Wayne Jamison country/rock CD. I listen to his songs daily whether with Target, Cobra, Survivor, One Man's Trash, etc. He was one great singer!👏

Check out the band named Target. That is the band Jimi was in, in Memphis, Tennessee in the early years of his career before Cobra and Survivor. He sang on their two albums which are both on You Tube. I watched Target play many times in Memphis (where I grew up) and always admired his singing. I had my own band later when he was in Cobra and our band (Steeler) opened up for Cobra at a club in Memphis and I finally got to meet him backstage. Really nice guy. Our band used to cover one of his old Target songs and I asked him if he would sing it. He was very kind about it but politely declined. :)

@@JWJ1960 Thank you for sharing these anecdotes, what a chance to have played on the same stage! I'm French, but a few years ago I managed to buy both of Target's vinyl albums, I even have one on test pressing. Still great stuff. There was a concert scheduled in the Paris region shortly before his death, and unfortunately the show was cancelled, so I never got to attend one of his concerts. You mention Steeler. Is this the same band as the one with Ron Keel, who was also from Tennessee (Nashville at first)? Cheers

@@evtribute1505 Same band name, different band. :) The Steeler I was in was just a very small time rock band based in Memphis that was fortunate enough to be asked to warm up for Cobra.
