I have a 7W x 2H P5 64x64 Pixel Panels Matrix. My problem with the Colorlight Card is, that the brightness is only by 40%, but why i can't go brighter?

Question: I am considering picking up a p5 led display used on taxi ads. But I’m not familiar with their maintenance and resolution. In your experience: would a 192 x 64 LED display resolution be decent enough to show custom created videos in decent quality? What would be the equivalent normal resolution be?

The resolution would also be 192x64. Resolution is just a pixel count. So the only things that matters is a ratio from there. In your case, the image would be ultra wide... so if you had a video that was made at 1080x720, you would want to crop half of the height off. I would also recommend actually scaling the video resolution down to exactly the 192x64. Believe it or not, it will look a little better, as the video file blending the pixels by shrinking it, looks better than the display essentially skipping pixels between the gaps. Also, it makes the file size much smaller, and will ne less likely to have any processing issues.

For a new guy this all confusing. Had my head wrapped around the f16v3, then seen a video explaining the raspberry pi. Now this alpha. Can you explain to me the difference of this alpha and f16v3 controllers. I really want the leaping arches. I love the sequence in your show.

I used this same type of build to make my 10' Mini-Mega trees that I added this year. I do suggest going with 6 strands instead of 5 as it makes the modeling easier in xlights!

@@randymorgan2804 I'm just starting out, here in the UK. So trying to find quick easy builds and work towards the bigger displays. You mini tree is a great start. Do you have a parts list and where you get your stock from ?

I noticed your strips are inside of the pvc, and that’s how exactly I want to do mine, how do you did the corners inside? I mean did you cut the strips in the corners and then solder back to make the turns? And is that regular pvc or is pex pipe from Home Depot? Please if you can share what you did I’m pretty sure i’m not the only one with questions and can benefit from your experience. Thanks in advance
