Hello my namesake (I am Beverley as well). My humblest apologies for taking so long to get back to you as I have been away from the channel for quite some time due to other matters. I have however recommitted to the channel. I would have to think about the logistics of the crocheted flag. But it would be an interesting project to take on. Perhaps I would use granny square motifs then join them to form the pattern.
