I think you nailed the mic-up for each drum and they were all tuned perfectly! Because this was a drum cover gig, it wouldn't have hurt to boost the bass drum a little. I can't tell if you had a mic for it but even without a bit more volume on the kick drum, you still sounded great. That reminded me of my earlier days when I used to play to that song. By then, (1977), I was in my early twenties, married, and just bought a new 3-bedroom house. But I had a full set of drums setup in one of the bedrooms and a good size stereo system in the livingroom with an additional pair of large speakers in the "drum-room'. Like you, I always liked to add a little of my own chops into the original score. You really did a great job with it. I had a larger, Tama kit with two snares, (a standard and a deep snare, just like yours). I went on to play in a few bands and sat in quite often at the clubs that had an "Open-Mic Night" once every week. I'm pushing near 70-years old now and I don't have an acoustic kit anymore, (which I always preferred). I do have a rather large double-bass eKit, (I added drum & cymbal pads over the last 5 years). But the acoustic kit is really where it's at and I see that you have at least two of them. Keep going, you have the control and don't stop learning and practicing! FWIW, Rich
