Just saw a pair of Verdins i front yard Foot Hills Palo Verde. They LOVE that tree...Wife doesn't like the tree. I'll keep it for the Verdins! Even if it is a pain to maintain.

I found a 13 inch baby girl and put her in a 75 Gallon Oasis. She’s very beautiful and I will raise her. Than in 3-4 years breed her. I moved from Florida with all kinds of pet snakes in my history. Milk Snakes, Kings, Corn and Pythons. This is my First Great Basin Gopher snake I found in Oregon and brought it back to Las Vegas. Nice and warm down here and she must have just been born. And eats pinkies like crazy. Now she’s all hiding in her palace. 1 whole week and counting 🐍

Nice looking unit. I guess the wiper wires are intended to flow oil down into the main bearings; clever. Thanks for sharing.
@starmanorion3 жыл бұрын
Yes..you see the little trough that gravity feeds the oil from the wiper wires through holes in the trough just above both front and rear mains...

Have the same one but it doesn’t seem to close and the bubbles are huge. Any advice?
@starmanorion3 жыл бұрын
Make sure you have a valve to adjust just the chest alone...then close it all the way..then open it in very small steps until you get it right...very little air is required ...also tilting the chest so the air collects in one corner helps....

I had a 4 foot Bull/Gopher snake hanging out with me while I fixed a gate the other day. He didn't bother me and I didn't bother him. He actually stayed within a few feet of me while I worked. I think he was watching some ground squirrels and I'm glad for that. Great video, thanks for teaching people about these wonderful snakes.

The plant it's on is fake. Notice the green fabric... We have lots of Cicada Killers in Kansas although they are yellow and black, you always see the males trying to stake out territory and this always scares the hell out of people that don't know males can't sting at all. (although they could bite)

Like your tank man. What light do you have and what fertilizers do you dose? Trying to figure out a similar planted set up
@starmanorion6 жыл бұрын
Finnix 48 inch planted aquarium LED light 24/7 but this light must be on full brightness for most of the duration of the entire day to support the plants then our substrate is caribsea Eco complete and the fertilizers we use are all seachem Trace, potassium, iron, and flourish

Once a Gopher snake knows you're not going to hurt it, they become quite placid! I'm glad you didn't kill it either, they're very nice snakes and good to have around, especially if you have rats! I use to catch them all the time, and would release them down by the river. Snake paradise!

Mates don't fight over nothing. It could be another male against another male or a female against a female. Otherwise, they would keep their distance, assuming that both hawks have mates already. Odds are, it could be another sibling. If that's the case, it could either be a male or female. Mated birds always help one another. They never fight over anything. When they mate, they mate for life. Then, after one of them passes, they find a new mate. That's how it is with all birds, not just hawks.

I just killed one at work today. I saw it and freaked out. I didn’t know it wasn’t harmful and I didn’t want to find out so just killed it. I feel like crap now. I’ll keep an eye out and hopefully find another one to take it home.
@e-reptiledysfunction22436 жыл бұрын
2 things, 1 u shouldn't take a snake from the wild and keep it, a wild snake should remain a wild snake throughout the duration of it's life!!! 2nd u can always Google snakes found n the state u live n!!! It's not heard to learn the venomous from the non-venomous once u read up about them!!!

Just caught a small one and he is so beautiful but he’s kind of mean so far so I gotta tame him a bit and just hold him more. I live in buckeye and he was on the sidewalk just outside of a golf course.
