Hey there! Depending on how the check is being entered, it may be getting assigned as an adjustment in the journal entry. This often happens when a check is created using 1-1 Checks and Bank Charges and when entering transaction to the bank account from 1-3 Journal Transactions. To correct this, you would only need to go to the Journal Entry for each transaction and change the Banking Category to 1. Hope this helps!

Hey there! Any report in Sage Intacct can be easily downloaded to Excel. For example, you can run the "General Ledger" report in the report area of the General Ledger module. When you view it, there will be an option to export it to Excel. Additionally, on the prompt screen, there are options to include different dimension types in the report before viewing and downloading, such as vendor, customer, departments, and projects.

Thanks for the question! If you click on your username in the top righthand corner of the screen, and go to My Preferences there is a 'Check Preferences' section towards the bottom where the alignment can be adjusted. This is user specific, so if several people print checks they will need to update by user.

Add a video about changing the budget/outlook on a project when no change order is involve. So that you would have a report showing what you thought it would cost and have an idea of what the overruns impact will be at the end.

Hi @Wawadewa, thanks for the question! Yes, you can create custom fields tailored to a specific transaction definition within Order Entry. For instance, if your Machinery Order workflow requires certain custom fields but your Services Order workflow needs different ones (or none at all), you can configure these fields to align with each transaction definition. Additionally, these settings can be customized further to be company-specific for even more flexibility!

Hi @YrisFamilia-t6v! We're a little unsure on the question here but in Sage Intacct, credit card transactions are posted, and payoffs are charged against those transactions. When reconciling, these should balance out, with no need for a journal entry. It’s possible that your reconciliation screen filters need to be updated to show all transactions so you can match both the credit and debit sides. This should result in a zero balance.

Hey @NickPatel-w1i! Great question. While you can't fully automate the transfer process using the bank feed, both accounts will reflect the "in" and "out" sides of the transaction in their respective bank feeds if both accounts are linked to feeds. Hope that helps!

Hi @josegallardo1992, thanks for your question! Quickstart Categories are a fixed list. You can manipulate your financial reports using manually created Account Groups, though. Create an Account Group of type "Account" and specify the account or account ranges that should be included, then add it as a child of the existing Liabilities group. If necessary, you can remove the quickstart category from the account to prevent duplication.

Hi, @LaSheaniaLuton! In Sage Intacct Construction, there is no separate process for closing POs or Subcontracts ("commitments"). Commitment lines are automatically closed once either the commitment quantity or amount (depending on the conversion method) matches the quantity received or the amount invoiced. To void a commitment, it can either be deleted-possible only if no invoices or change orders have been issued-or a negative commitment change order must be issued to set the overall committed amount to zero. Unfortunately, the transaction definitions that could potentially issue commitment credits do not work properly in Intacct at this time. Thanks for your question!

Great video! What if you want to import the list of submittals at the beginning of the project, and you don't have any dates for them yet. Is there a way to import them into Sage as place holders, so they are in the system when you are ready to act on them?

I made calculated column C ( A-B). In the report, I just want to filter data above a certain value like C >= 10. Hi @jongcheulkim7284, unfortunately, the only custom reporting options that we use here at Bangert that allow you to filter results based on calculated values are ICRW and Velixo. Depending on your needs, you could potentially export your report to Excel or CSV and then turn on data filtering to achieve a similar effect.

Sage Paperless already offers a direct integration. Both solutions work exceptionally well for Cost Code/Cost Type level AP automation and support complex approval workflows. You might also want to explore Lumber, which offers fantastic payroll and timekeeping features alongside AP automation. If you need more details on any of these, feel free to reach out!

Hi, @tmauer1005! Yes, you can, but it might be simpler to just use Manual/Quick Check in AP with the payment type set to EFT to record the payment. The best method depends on the volume: - For large ACH runs, using the Generate Electronic Payments option is more efficient, as it allows you to select multiple invoices and vendors for payment at once. - For just one or two payments, it's quicker to record them individually through Manual/Quick Check.

Is there a way to set timesheet start/end periods by date automatically so that when employees fill out their timesheet, they don't need to select a start date? As in - restrict timesheet entry to specific dates (two-weeks at a time with fixed start date for each period; if a timesheet was submitted for 8/18 - 8/31, the next timesheet would be for 9/1 - 9/14)? To avoid any dates that are duplicated and/or selecting the wrong start date?

@jdgallagher14 The timesheet settings do not offer a direct feature to automatically restrict timesheet entries to specific fixed start and end dates, but there are a few potential workarounds and considerations: Automatic Prefill: The system prefills the timesheet start date with the current week based on the system date. For example, if the current date falls within a period that ends on 8/31/2024, the system will automatically set the start date to 8/25/2024 when creating a new timesheet. This helps reduce manual errors but does not fully restrict entries to specific periods. Smart Rules: You can create a rolling Smart Rule that restricts users from entering start dates outside of a specific period. This approach allows for flexibility while also guiding users to select the correct date range. Consideration of Flexibility: Completely restricting the start date might not be ideal, as there may be scenarios where employees need to enter time for a previous period. If you impose a hard restriction, it could limit users' ability to correct past entries. Out-of-the-Box Restrictions: There are some built-in restrictions related to employee and project start and end dates. If these dates are violated, the system will block time entry, but these restrictions do not specifically address the need for restricting timesheet entries to fixed periods and would require ongoing management/maintenance. While these options do not perfectly match the requirement, they provide a way to mitigate potential errors and guide users toward the correct date ranges.

This means that even if you pay after the discount date, the discount will still be applied. Editing Terms: - Another method is to edit the terms to calculate the correct discount. This is a great question. To make a copy of a dashboard displaying a report with different parameters than the original, you will need to memorize a new version of the report to use in the report widget on the new clone of the dashboard. Hope this helps!

Hi @alexchea2217, good question! For Sage 100 Contractor, imports can only be performed using a partner-only tool. This tool allows for the import of multiple documents at once but requires precise data with correct table references. This complexity is why it's restricted to partners. Hi @jennifercruz5956, thank you for the question! In Sage Intacct Construction, there are two types of statuses for projects: Main Status and Project Status. The main status is the overall control in Sage Intacct that determines whether a project is active or inactive in the system. This status cannot be customized. You will see this status throughout the system for vendors, customers, employees, etc. The Project Status allows you to limit certain tasks. You can define what you want those status items to be called. For example, you can create a status called "Completed" and select to not allow any more time entries to that project, but you may still have some final billings or AP bills to process. The main option is to stop additional costs while still allowing further billings, etc. Hope this helps!
