For fans of Ryuichi Sakamoto, it hasn't been long enough for them to process his death. A recording of his piano performance before his death was featured and broadcast on NHK, and I'm sure there were many audience members like me who watched it with mixed emotions. There were some parts that seemed more painful than in his heyday, but his performance of Merry Christmas Before War still touches my heart. I like IVE, and there are some songs that I've listened to many times. So I'm not an anti, but when I heard this song, I was really shocked. I was surprised at the cheap arrangement and worldview, and the fact that it was so easily consumed as a popular song by Korean idols under the pretext of sampling. I wish someone who knew the professor well when he was alive, like Suga of BTS, and has deep respect for him, had produced it. I wish they had respected the worldview of that movie as well.

If you all liked the song, there’s nothing wrong about that, but please go listen to Ryuichi Sakamoto’s original Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence! I think David Guetta is definitely not giving the original composer enough credit, and he didn’t even attempt to address the meaning of the original music, which addresses war and the wish for peace 😢

このイントロが日本人の坂本龍一(元YMO)さんの戦場のメリークリスマスを採用している事を殆どの人がコメントしませんが、IVEのファンがとても若い世代なので原曲を知らないのかもしれませんね。

When ive performed at tokyo dome for the first time i don't know too. But some ive fans share the fact about the sample song and i know and found the original song to listen 😊 the melody so beautiful and classic.
