In Music he is a fanatically attracted. In politics he is novice. Giving public speech or opinions, little does he understand that he is uninteligently playing into vested interest lobby. Better for him to stick himself for dedication of carnatic music only. Let him sing in Mosque or Church, but remember always, that, his own Mother only will bless him wholeheartedly than the other one 🙏

What an excellent rendition by Vidhushi SRIRANJANI. You have such beautiful voice and a matching talent to make the rendition with a special stamp of approval by any standard! Wish you continued successful career. I am also a great admirer of your illustrious father GURU SANTHANAGOPALAN. While at the topic of quality music at its best, I strongly recommend that you should look at a new book by V.S. Narasimhan, titled "CARNATIC & WESTERN MUSIC": Blending the 2 Classical Systems. This very recently published book (please see you tube video under V.S. Narasimhan, book promo) is dedicated to opening a whole bunch of new avenues by creative blending of the two systems of music. Carnatic music singers aspiring to expand their vision also into Western Classical Music will immensely benefit by Narasimhan's illustrations presented in the book. His expertise as a well-known violinist and composer and a collection of special tunes he has presented are noteworthy and blend with the objectives of making Carnatic music even more spectacular. This new book by Narasimhan has QR-Codes embedded in the book so that one can enjoy his compositions as you are reading the book! Incredible experience.

Why can’t the violinist wait till the main singer’s phrasing is done, so we don’t have to hear the delayed following that detracts from the singer.
@TheBenevolent8 күн бұрын
I’d say that’s a style of accompaniment… it’s seen in most if not all recordings of say Semmangudi. Jaymmal’s accompaniment on the Clarinet by Radhakrishna Naidu complemented really well in this style. You can listen to it in the Thaye yashodha recording of T.Balasaraswati and her troupe.

Grand Musical Concert by a Sangeetha Kalanidhi ---------------------------------------------- Thomas Mohammad Krishna, popularly known as TMK gave his grandiose performance ever On the auspicious day of Ghazni Panchami in Thiruvaiyaru by the banks of Cauveri River. Beginning with a humble obeisance to the destroyer of Ganapati Statues, Father Periyaar A beautiful kriti was rendered over Aryan atrocities committed against the Adi-Dravidar. Following, came a quick Viruttham from Sebastian Sashti Kavacham- "May the Lord bless me and curse others", in chaste Manipravalam. More soul wrenching kritis were rendered, first by an Oppari improvisation Followed by abusive refrain, concluding with the viral swaram ornamentation. The enthralled audience, moved past traditional "handwaving" Comfortably followed the artist in smoking and binge drinking... Traditional music finally evolved to the modern stage Shaming Woodstock and relegating it to the stone age. An extremely rare Raagam Thaanam Pallavi was the highlight of the grand concert. "Oh! he discovered the New World when Europe believed the Earth was flat" With fourteen hundred and ninety two beats, set to Conquistadore Christopher Columbus Taalam! Dwarfing, at a mere one hundred and twenty eight, by a factor over ten, the Simhanandanam. Honors were offered to the true believers at the music academy a delectful "Aurangazeb Ashtapadi" followed in Raagam Haraam Kalyani. With the enthralled audience demanding a traditional ending "Taliban Thillana", then TMK concluded with a soulful rendering.

The Madras High Court has restrained The Hindu from presenting the 'Sangita Kalanidhi Award' in the name of M S Subbulakshmi to musician T M Krishna. The Court said that the Sangita Kalanidhi Award and cash prize can be granted to TM Krishna but not in the name of M S Subbulakshmi. Justice G Jayachandran passed the interim order in a suit filed by the grandson of M S Subbulakshmi saying that the conferment of the award was against her wish and mandate. The problem is not with the current generation of people, rather it is with those great souls like Gandhi, Nehru, and modern day self claimed Maharishi's or "Gods" like Ramakrishna, Saibaba, Vivekananda etc. who always equate all religions by not even knowing the difference between Dharma and Religion. They were all ill-literate in their own mother tongue and understood less than a smattering of Sanskrit to comment on the equality of religions. Hence it has given rise to "Dravidian" movement, Brahmin hatred etc. of which TMK is just a small drop in the ocean of stench caused by the anti-aryan movement! We care less whether TMK is even given the Bharath ratna. India is just one huge mess of its own making! Read the poem I am going to post above. Cheers
