Most of the adhesives like loctite and jbweld that you mentioned say they don't work with HDPE or PE. How has your kydex been holding up after 2 yrs?

Yes for sure, in a nut shell i'm pleased. The Kayak has been all over the USA after install in a variety of conditions and it has held up very well. It simply has not moved, I keep waiting for it to fail and honestly I think it has become a permanent part of the boat.

Also look into the very specific loctite and JB weld. Thier offerings have simply expolded since the release of this video.

There's no trout, it does not flood every year and they have no plans to remove before winter. Otherwise your right at the rest

You could be correct about that , however ive lived here 30 plus years it floods often and it flooded so bad this year they could barely finish it and it already took the drive way out once, caught trout every year out of this river and the DNR planting records for 2023 show they released over 20,000 rainbows and 10,000 walleyes if we are talking truth lets talk truth...Just saying

How has this battery held up?

The battery has held up great and is still in use, however I’m not a big fan of the power cable connectors. They have a charging cable that is a simple disconnect and it failed. This seems to be a weak link. I just eliminated it and connected directly to the battery. I’ve heard the have great customer support.

There is a lot! Both piers several parks, and the general area is loaded with river and river front boat ramps in all the lakeshore communities. I’ll do a little video highlighting some for you.

I use almost the exact same set up, Rage Hypodermic broadheads with the Bloodsport Witness bolts. The first thing I'd note about the hypodermics is how well they fly. And they produce huge cuts. I also use the hypos out of my compound.

I've had a Passport 12 for over a year now. The mods that mad ethe biggest impact where putting the rectangular hatch in the center with deep tray and moving the circle hatch to the bow with a deep bucket. The map pockets on the side are great. The XL, seat deployable rudder is a great add on. Ypu can deploy and retract it just like on the lynx with it. A 4" gel seat cushion is a must. The Passport seat is horrible. Ive owned several other fishing kayaks. The Passport is significantly better than people think. It's light weight, move quickly, easy to stand in, and has plenty of deck space.

I'm buying my kydex in a 12"X12" sheet but I wanted to know how wide were the strips that you cut from the sheet to form your guards. I'm covering an old town sportsman 120 which should be the same as yours. Thanks

I started out at about 4” wide by 12” and trimmed it down to fit ended up about 3” by 10 “ for mine .

Hi look around on the site it should show a video segment on the mount. Search for sport fisher motor mount on Amazon or eBay it will pop right up 100 bucks or so. Holds the battery and motor mounts right to hole in back of kayak

I bought a versa Bella for this kayak to mount as a shade. I'm going to use this hack to add in rod holders and a pole to clamp the versa brella to. SC sun is brutal.

It does seem to feel that way just near the center on mine also, so far no problems with it , but I decided to not stand on it much. Using mine more as a great tackle box and perfect lunch holder

After a couple decades of wanting to have a fishing kayak, the day has finally come and I want to protect "my precious" as much as possible, lol. However, how much is really needed and where, and how much would make me look like a lunatic, lol? I could cover the entire bottom of the boat with kydex for the ultimate protection, lol. Do you think you can make a video sharing your thoughts on how much keel/hull protection is really needed, and if there are other areas of the hull which could use a small panel of kydex protection too?

Sure sounds like a good idea, really it’s just the front. Sometimes the back end and totally depends on make and model, how much dragging you do. Many more companies are starting to recognize this and getting pre made stuff out there. Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching, yes I have been to several lakes including St.Clair were I beat it up heavily and it’s rock solid. One downside you’re line can get caught on the edge if you don’t leave a bead large enough to cover the Kydex. I will add some clear silicone over any gaps along the edge. No big deal just precautionary so I don’t loose a fish under the front area. Thanks for watching
