I just reached mythic, and was looking for an explanation of what the percentage means. This video assumed I would already know, and was not helpful. This video doesn't explain mythic rank, it explains how to rank up. The title is misleading, please modify for accuracy.

Why does EVERY KZbinr talk about deck building with bloody Arena?! I want NORMAL deck building with cards and not that stupid version!

Could you clarify if you value or do Not value the mastery pass? To me its a waste of resources (unless a pass is long and you are getting more for your 3400 gem investment). I dont value the cosmetics and maybe your first chance at a mastery pass is more value cause you are getting pets, emojis and a bit of digital product.
@dragade1015 ай бұрын
Nice that you covered this. For all of the visual learners, have a flow chart than just your lovely talking head. Even some simple text of 'jump in' → 'quick draft' → 'premium draft' goes a long ways

MTG It is the OG pay to win game. MTGA was less pay to win at first and has become more pay to win as they made it improbable to be able to go infinite now. I love MTG, but i'm not about to lie to myself.

It's free to lose/Pay to win. You will not build very many good decks without spending (a lot of) money. Playing for free, it could take months to earn enough packs and unlocks to build a single decent deck.
@bootysnatcherttv7 ай бұрын
Also, the shuffler is broken, and the match-making algorithm is partially based on deck content. Can you imagine if after verifying the format legality of your decks, the judges then based their match-making choices on the strategic content of your deck?

Game is fucking miserable The matchmaking is fucking garbage. Every opponent I’m facing has a fully optimized deck with all alternate arts unlocked. My fucking starter decks don’t stand a mother Fucking chance. I want to kill my self Cant even use the cards unlocked in Jump in in the fucking alchemy ranked to unlock the draft tokens. This game is a fucking joke
@slaphappy-qb3jb9 ай бұрын
The number one problem is that if you happen to be new to mtg, you will lose 90% of your matches. The learning curve is more severe than dota and those who've played it will know how insane that is. You need 5 years experience to even begin to understand enough to have fun at the game

How can beginners in Arena build these decks? Craft them from wildcards? Figure out what packs they might be in and buy a ton of packs? Are the packs even still available? When I played in the 90s we would give away commons to new players for free and they could trade for some uncommons, or just buy them for not a lot of money. What is the equivalent today for people starting in Arena? I'm willing to to spend a little bit of money if necessary but I'm not able to grind 15 wins a day for hours and hours using my crappy color challenge and jump in decks to grind up to getting even a starter deck like these... I must be missing something.

Im a returning player, i played brothers wars and quit, so i Don't have the other sets, i have a almost 20k gold and 7k gems, what should i do? Play premier draft with gold? With gems? I haven't buy the mastery pass yet, im going to wait until completing it, i got a free quick draft token and went 7-2 in MKM but now quick draft doesn't give rank and that's a bummer
@TheSkarTV9 ай бұрын
you should probably stick to one thing to spend your currency on. I think figuring out what it is you want to play in the game most of the time is probably how you should spend your currency. The game overall feels the most rewarding when you are focusing on one thing instead of trying to spread your currency out over multiple things. Mastery pass is one of those things that if you are going to put the time in needing to rank it up it becomes worth it.

Thanks for video. Im new in Magic and just started Arena. I would like to build the Green n Black Toxic deck as my first deck (specially since i work with venomous snakes IRL as Biologist). Is still viable for Standard or could you recommend me some f2p updated upgrades please? Greetings from Mexico homie 🇲🇽🤙🏾

Can i play those decks irl in standard mtg or its just for arena?
@TheSkarTV9 ай бұрын
ive tuned them for arena but they could be converted to a paper version though some adjustments would have to be made like adding a real sideboard as well adjusting if you bring them to an established paper meta.

I think there’s a lot of tips even within your chapters could have been expanded as some of this was a bit vague to be considered tips to get better. Then the stuff where you talk about learning the types of decks in the meta game have nothing really to do with being a better player as they’re all about the decks people are playing at tournaments not the decks that might be used in a casual environment. Mulligans - understand what deck you’re playing and what you need for the deck to work, also understand what’s going to stop you winning. If you don’t have many lands in your hand, but you have lots of early removal to give yourself time to build to the bigger things you’re waiting to play, maybe it’s worth keeping it knowing you can stall the game effectively. If you depend on early aggression and use removal later in the game, you’ll have lost the momentum you’re going for stalling the game into the later rounds only to be playing small creatures. Whenever you play any card, consider, is this the best time to play this? You’re judging what the best time is based on the following - how much does it shorten the amount of turns I need to win? What risk do I expose myself to by commiting to this action? Would this have a bigger effect on the game in my favour playing this at a different time? Aggro players aim to play everything as fast as possible to overwhelm as quickly as they can, but even they would want to leave some things as late as possible. Instead of boosting your creature and then attacking, you may be better waiting until someone commits to blocking to then spring your trap on them. If there’s no blockers, you might want to boost your creature to deal some early damage, but it may be worth making no move at all if it means saving it for later if that move doesn’t reduce the amount of turns it’d take to win and you’d lose the option to later either save that creature, or use that spell as removal/ a surprise winning attack turn. There’s loads of better videos than this, so find one of them.
