I have a 2005 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel. I'm the original owner and it has 300,000 miles. I would trade this truck in for anything. It's an absolute tank and is part of the family.

The rear wheel wheels on a 55 Nomad are radiused if I'm not mistaken, maybe this is a Canadian version?

I just saw this. Comments 6 to 8 months ago. Gives me confidence that mine will last a long time. 136k miles. 2wd. Crew cab. California valley so no rust. I've spent a few thousand lately on new headliner, sound system and instrument cluster.

5.3 is a good 4:14 engine as long as you take care of it. I have a 05 bought it brand new off the lot replaced the transmission but other then that just general maintenance is not bad and I have 160,000 miles on . I love these trucks 👍👍

These trucks and suvs last pretty much forever as long as you change the fluids and wash it in the winter and for 1500 trucks doesn’t beat on it or 3rd gear might mysteriously disappear my friend has one of these trucks and I lost count for the transmissions at 6 while I got a 2005 tahoe with the original transmission and 311,000 miles still going strong

The motor blowing is a common valve seat issue in the heads. They like to drop valve seats and start grenading. Its recommemed to have a shop prematurely fix the issue at about 150k miles

Its not all that rare. In Aberdeen, we get tons of random freight train engines, like UP, CN, NS, CSX, and even Ferronmox! And sometimes, we get these weird passenger BNSF trains, a Dash-9 engine, a boxcar, and a passenger car. But yea, as a person who lives in Aberdeen, I can confirm that it has some awesome trains!

2005 ram here In NY, 5.7 SLT premium everything inside. Sun roof leaks from the handles by door when rains are heavy. Drains get clogged fast even after I blow them out. Fuel pump went which was a pain but I cut a access panel above it in the bed. I don’t carry anything heavy and built a support for it. Covered by the be liner anyways. Rear left door doesn’t unlock with key or button either has to be manual Body rust been minimal but I stayed on top of it. Above the rear wheels I’ve re done with bondo but starting to pop back up. Will probably just buy replacement panels next time. power steering hose rusted off, took me about 2hrs to replace no biggie. rear left brake hose completely rusted off too had to get that re done. crankshaft sensor, O2 sensors, gas cap, & a hose underneath to the emissions box (forgot the name ) had to get replaced. I eliminated the muffler on it (was super rusted) but kept the resonator. Sounds awesome. Rear left taillights gets rusted out but I replaced all the lights on the truck to newer LED assembly’s so it didn’t bother me.

I have a 07 Ram Laramie I bought with 22,000 miles. Biggest thing I had go was the gas tank had to be changed cause of evap valve issues and I have a vent door broke for the floor and it’s a $2000 repair but not worried about fixing. It now has 180,000 and only thing motor wise that’s had to be replaced was water pump at 160,000 and I had broken manifold bolts at around 120,000. I replaced spark plugs at 160,000 but we’re not that bad. I have done oil changes very constantly 3 to 5,000 miles and before every long trip. Tow a camper as well. I have small rust in rear wheel wells which I think started by going to new York for Christmas one year which I can re paint my self. I live in tennesse and truck has spent it’s life there since 2010 and only one year in Pennsylvania I’m currently saving up to get new Ram but will probably keep this truck for extra and for kids when they start driving it’s been a good truck over all. I maybe have 3 to $4000 in total repairs at 180,000 miles which I think is not bad when you think I’ve had it paid off since 2014 so that been a cheap truck to drive in 7 years
