Wow! A lovely playing of a lovely tune named after a lovely place in Lerwick. Thanks a lot!

Très bel air, très bien joué ! J'aime bien le tempo modéré, le jeu complémentaire des deux guitares, le beau son et le jeu tout en rondeur du violon, et surtout le swing irrésistible qui se dégage de l'ensemble. Bravo !

Great stuff - named for Irish accordion player Sonny Brogan (1906 - 1965) a great job made of it

So nice listening to you, guys, letting the melody breathe. What a change from the today fast-playing sessions which make all the tunes sound alike and boring.

I admire people who can play with the picks. Looks too difficult for me to play these guitar riffs with picks.

(Ooh, key change!) Love this, love all your other tunes and your musicianship. When I know the tune I play along which isn’t often, but a lot of fun. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Thank you.

This is so wonderful! I’m glad to have discovered this tune’s name as I know it from Steeleye Span’s ‘Four Nights Drunk’ song, in which I think they repurposed this melody for the lyrics. Beautiful playing and recording! 😊🎶 (and.. subscribed! 😃)

Yes, the reel has many names:4 Nights Drunk 4 Drunken Nights, , Byrne’s, Primrose Lass,, The Primrose Lassies Highland Fling, The Primrose Lassies. This version is a joy - ‘stripped back to basics and a lovely gentle pace and rhythm

Beautiful! But I know it as an Irish ditty titled "Seven Drunken Nights". The words are about the unlikely and scandalous things a man finds when he comes home drunk. 😊 I wonder which name and version came first?
@roisinniloirgneain81526 күн бұрын
I don't hear that at all. Well, certainly not The Dubliners ' version of that song. And I don't like the song one bit. You've just defiled this beautiful piece! 😢

You’re thinking of ‘Four Nights Drunk’ by Steeleye Span! Exactly what I was reminded of as well 😃I love that song and I believe they repurposed this melody for the lyrics. ☺️🎶
