Really nice bass solo by Mark Egan. This band was so talented even back when they began to play together. I used to listen to their music nonstop.

2023 now: did the guy who did this predicted the future?! Huge Tama fanboy here: wtf Tama is doin?!? Their finishes are UGLY! And now with Pearl upgrading their new pro lines..

Damn, the camera work on this is tragically bad. The guy was recording with his old laptop's webcam and the laptop was overheating like crazy doing so. Wow. Unfortunate. The Memphis drum shop was uploading 2K res MyCymbal demos by that time, so I know they definitely had good camera equipment in there somewhere!

3:37 Neil stated that Slingerland hardware was old and fragile compared to japanese brands like Tama. And the brand was dying by 1980 so... Tama sounded the best for him.
@PaulMarangoni Жыл бұрын
Partly true. Slingerland wasn't "dying" until the late 80s. They missed the boat by not reaching out to Neil. But the Japanese companies sort of took over by the early 80s.

Thanks very much to Mr. Bill Stewart, to the Memphis Drumshop and to Mr. Paul Marangoni for the upload and time and effort to fix the audio. Watched whole, most of the words are recognizable by ear, some with auto-subtitles. This musician is so amazing, that even with this quality it is a treasure. Thank you.
