ik im late but aren’t they semi-arboreal? it should have more dirt with the option to climb you’re kind of treating it like it’s completely arboreal

I've been using mesh lid for 25+ yrs and have never had my T,s get caught up in my them! Knowone has ever complained, until some companies decided to sell there products! Dave's Little Beasties will let you know ty he Truth about Mesh lids! I've always used 5 to 10 to 20 gal. Tanks with wire mesh lids. Your not talking from experience, your listening to people promoting companies, like Tarantula Crib's etc. save your money 💰 by not listening to promoter's. Stop wasting your cash.

What is the name ? That’s the kind , if stinky is the one that likes to sta out of the burrow and likes it dry , can you say the name of the species please

Stinky is a Brachypelma albiceps also known as a mexican golden red rump tarantula!

We want at that is nature, doesn’t hide in a burrow all the time so no fossorial or arboreal, and one that prefers an arid environment. Thinking about an Arizona desert yellow T
@Fluffy1810TarantulasАй бұрын
Arizona blonde is a great choice for that. My curly hair tarantulas are always out and about and dont dig or hide, and they arent aggressive so they are a great choice too!

@gordondalrymple7644Ай бұрын
Yes I an old timer so I need an easy, first tarantula, that like a dry climate but mellow easy going. The Arizona blonde or a Chaco golden T. , an adult, with a 2 -3 gal min. Sz enclosure. have to build a habitat first. it’s humid already here, but winters are cold, so the heat might make it too dry? I’m going to use drab or desert decor so it’s easy for the resident to pop

Tarantulas do well at room temperature and with weekly watering so dont stress too much :)

Aww two of my balfouri males have matured out now and I might try to get a mature female . I do feel bad for the males once they mature because all they seem to do is wander around their home looking for a girl.

I thought you said Brachipelma smithi don't dig?? You just said all Tarantulas need soil to dig? No 2 individual Tarantulas act the same, after 43 years of experience, please be careful what you tell people, when I look up a Tarantula's living condition, I ALWAYS read up on as many different accounts of raising them as I can, a lot of people have had many DIFFERENT experiences with different species. If someone was to take your advice and their Tarantula dies, they will blame you for it. I'm just trying to help you, I wouldn't want anyone to blame you for saying something that didn't work for them. Please do your homework, 5 yrs and a dozen different species is to most, still a beginner. I love your channel, and I'm just trying to give you some advice on things I've experienced ❤❤❤❤❤ take care, AND WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION 😄😊🕷️🕷️🕷️

If you want a docile species, after 43 years one of the most docile species I have ever owned is the Chaco Golden Knee tarantula. Grammostola pulchripe❤❤❤ decently sized, kind of large actually and extremely docile, never ever has kicked one hair in the time I've had her and very gentle and very handleable, absolutely always handle at your own risk!
