We have homless people in Denmark, just not encampments. Our rents are not for the most people in the 2000 dollars price range. Not in Copenhagen and not for a 1 bedroom. Although I miss Canada, I am glad I live here now. 💚🌳🌼✌🏻🌷

So when are the Sobey's, Metro, Adonis, Highland Farms, Whole Foods, Longos, and Starsky boycotts? They're all more expensive than Loblaws.
@KarlFengler3 сағат бұрын
Interesting. The Presidents Choice brand is sold a Albertsons, a grocery chain that started in Boise Idaho. People here, including my wife and I think prices, are ridiculous. We have basically 2 major chains, Albertsons and Fred Meyers. They're part of the Kroger grocery chains. We've been shopping at TRADER JOE'S, a smaller store, which has better prices. There are a couple of other independent stores. There's also Costco, but you end up spending way too much, and packing is always too big for 2 people. Interesting video and insite in Canadian (Toronto) prices.

The captions on this video are on a black background and not easily visible. Can the background be changed to white?

All these Canadians should be ashamed of themselves. We’re so pathetic, we just take it every which way from the government and corporations.

Oh very interesting insight. I wish there was a store like this in my city with the structure and product range. In Germany I actually get the best organic meat for the meat prices. We only calculate in kg.

I am happy for you,😊 but if you ask a Realtor, they have no problems with selling. More people are immigrating than that are leaving Canada. 😳How does the old Honest eds area looks like now?

Loblaws is a publicly traded company they can do whatever they want, this boycott is straight up ignorance

Ontario is raping us for food prices!! All this since covid please covid is gone time to lower things back to where they were.. In Oct min wage will hit 17.20 so that means a Big MAc will cost $20 Shit i go to lablaws get 2 bags of food for 200 dollars wtf this is insane!!!

Find it interesting that T & T supermarket chains aren't included in the boycott since Roblaw's bought them back in 2009.

Just returning from a 5 week vacation in Florida, where groceries are crazy expensive. Bad money management by their government just like in Canada.
@Mike.T.7 сағат бұрын
I read an article a while ago that boycotts don't actually work the way they're intended. They don't really affect their bottom line at all, it mainly just hurts their reputation. It seems like Loblaws isn't well liked to begin with so that won't hurt them.

Metro and Sobeys are more expensive than Loblaws. Real Canadian Superstore does price match on flyers. Metro and Sobeys don't! I'm not boycotting.

Loblaws (No Frills), Metro, Sobeys, Farm Boys are all overpriced. I only shop at Walmart, Food Basic, and Asian supermarkets (not TNT though).

In the USA the $ 9 dollars beef matches what we pay here. It was around $2 cheaper two years ago.

😂 at the end of the video 📹 I got a Super Centre Commercial 😅. I don't give Loblaws my business not because of the prices but because of the way they treat their employees like shit

I don’t shop at any of the big brand stores. I buy everything needed from local small stores in my walkable neighborhood. They all hike prices and make exhorbitant prices. Loblaw’s encroachment in health made me write them off including shoppers and any doctors involved a year ago or more. Integrity matters.

Hey Johnny. Nice thanks for checking out the sky high prices. I avoid lawblaws I go to Metro too or Longo and local fruit market little stores along Bloor St. 8.00 approx for cereal is crazy

My family used to own a dental laboratory at the 55 Eglinton Ave. East building. The building will soon be demolished to build a condo. I have very fond memories of the Yonge and Eglinton area, and it has changed so much since I've last visited there. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Yes. Loblaws has outrageous prices on everything. Starting yesterday I’m shopping at either my local Lococo’s grocery store, here in Hamilton, Walmart, Giant Tiger or Amazon. The odd time I would go to No Frills only if they have selected produce on sale. This month I’m avoiding them, Food Basics chain, and Metro. Thank you so very much again for today’s walking video.

I only buy frozen fruits when Metro has them for $3.99. So, Loblaws is selling it for a couple of dollars more. However, it seems that several grocery stores are offering less but increasing prices.

If only the people griping abut food prices and making "demands" of Loblaw' had a basic knowledge of economics. As for Johnny, who calls Loblaw's greediest grocery conglomerate, he states in this video "I can't tell you if these re good prices or not". Exactly, Johnny. Get in line with the rest of the economically disadvantaged and just start protesting. Cause it feels good to be mad at "something" when one feels like things are happening outside of their control.

Even foreigners who have emigrated to Canada are now leaving cabada as it’s just too expensive to live there now. Not to mention majority of the foreigners are working below the minimum wage as the Canadian government loves cheap labour workforce and big businesses that heavily rely on foreign labour.
