Great house! So glad you rescued it from the great Ozzie “reno”. Wish there were more houses like that in the Oz suburbs. I’m in Brisbane in a spacious courtyard studio apartment (same size as a 2-bedder I’d occupied in Narrabeen!), designed by an award-winning architect. Built-in cantilevered wooden desk, built-in wooden book shelving & cabinetry, gorgeous solid wooden flooring-and all the wood is the same colour!, glass bricks in the bathroom to a little enclosed garden, glass walls on 2 sides, and clear- storey windows above them, and touches of things that would normally be cut out of a budget. Even though it was built in 1999, and has some honest “Industrial” features, there are lots of nods to genuine Modernist architecture. Gosh it makes a difference to the quality of one’s life. Had to leave Sydney to find it! Thank you for “Streets of Your Town”. Enjoyed the two episodes immensely.

Inspiring, & using sustainable methods. No brainer stuff, that takes KISS principal thinking & applies it. If only humans weren't so short sighted. We NEED more of this if we have any hope, combined with what's coming with global warming.
