No it didn’t since the cover for this md paper a6 is this cardboard sort of material! All MD notebooks are pretty minimal and have that exposed spine and cardboard covers!

Good luck in your interviews! I am going through the same, it is so difficult 😢, what I do is treat myself after the interview (good or bad) to transform the stressfull memory into a happy one! PS: I have been obsessed with your knox planner I think I am ordering one from mercari japan!
@catspocketnoteКүн бұрын
That is such a good idea omg, I should treat myself to some KBBQ and açai bowl after! Already looking forward to it 😂 The Knox planner is really nice!! What do you plan to use it for? I have the hobo a6 weekly supplement in it and it’s a bit too big but planning to buy the sterling ink pocket vertical weekly to put in it next year :) let me know if you end up ordering it and in what colour/size!!!

Oh and good luck in your interviews too!!! Hoping you can stay positive throughout the process and hope you get a good result! ❤️

@catspocketnote I highly recommend you do that! I had an interview on Monday (I ended up not getting it), but that did not stop me from remembering that day fondly because I went with my bf to our favorite sushi place 🥰 I want to use it like my main planner! I have a a6 hobonichi planner as my journal and a hobonichi weeks as my planner but even though I love the weeks, the size is not my cup of tea so I was just looking for another system and I came across your video 😁 I think is a brilliant idea to put the weekly supplement even though it is a tight fit! I think I want to try printing my own inserts 🫣
@catspocketnoteКүн бұрын
Oh I’d be soo keen to see your final setup! making my own inserts intimidates me and I don’t own a printer (yet) but it would be fantastic for making something tailored that works for your life. Also! I’m considering getting the hobonichi a6 for a memory keeper in 2025 😂 it would be so awesome if we ended up with the same / similar planner lineup - think we might both be pocket size notebooks enthusiasts

man how is it not more views?! The video was so calming and I enjoyed listening, I can sooo relate to public speaking and socializing because I’ve struggled quite a bit with lately and the worst is when you “promise” someone you’ll be confident and more mature you screw it up by going into old habits and I go to that shy self again, but worry or not we’ll get past through it💪 and good luck with the interviews!!!

/btw question, what are your recommendations on starting a journal for memories like you? Like I have 1000 journals but they are all so messy and I don’t know..I would love advice and if it’s a good thing cause the idea looks cool:))
@catspocketnoteКүн бұрын
Omg don’t even talk to me about other people’s expectations, I so get you, it makes it worse for me when I know someone is expecting more from me or says I have potential that I’m not meeting ;____; In terms of a memory keeping journal, I only just started this notebook as a trial for memory keeping! But I did a lot of research into the right planner size (passport, a6, b6, a5) and style (plain, lined, grid, weekly, daily, undated) and right now I’m figuring out what I want the notebook to do (whether I prefer memory keeping everything I did every day or only journal about certain memories). I’m hoping I can use this trial blank notebook as a practice to making nice spreads and to see whether I want to buy a dated daily journal (hobonichi a6) next year or an undated journal for only special moments :) I’ll keep you updated on how the memory keeping journey goes, I plan to make a video on it when I start buying next year’s journals!

I feel a lot calmer now, sorry for being melodramatic! I will live! And I'll talk about how it went in my next video if anyone is interested. My panel interview is in T-minus 23 hours and I'm going to study as much as I can tonight.

First interviews can be intimidating. I used to struggle with the same self doubts when I started out. You have a great mindset on how whatever happens, this is a good experience to help you learn and grow. It's okay to make mistakes because that is ultimately how we learn important information. Good luck! Although, it sounds like you're well prepared.

i daily journal and dont rlly do spreads, but personally I leave a good amount of the page blank and feel like you could accommodate some type of spreads or decoration in the empty spaces! might be fun to try to switch up the layout using some stickers and washi tape :)

Your travel journal is so refreshing to look at. I have not seen travel journal as ring binder. It's unique. The business cards , ephemera with your writing is giving me courage to just capture and log about the memories without the pressure to make it pretty. It's bit difficult to let go the urge to make journal pages aesthetically pleasing and in the end ending up with blank journal pages. Thank you for sharing you travel journal. I really like it.
@catspocketnote14 күн бұрын
You've reminded me of my first attempt at a travel journal (in a regular size TN) and I totally cracked under the pressure to make nice looking pages and stopped about 3 days in. You're right this binder method really helped with that perfectionism since I just hole punched things in without too much thought on where it should go on a page. I still got some paralysis from some of the spreads where I had to use stickers but I'm slowly getting past it ^_^ Hope you try this method out next time you travel journal and lmk if it works out :)

Thanks for sharing! I liked what you said about using your notebook for unfiltered thoughts, I'd like to try. I've mostly done it digitally. I've held back from physically writing this kind of thing because it feels like ... tarnishing (?) the notebook, with all the negative thoughts... Or like they're somehow solidified and final on paper. Also I worry people will read it and take some unintentional meanings from it.
@catspocketnote14 күн бұрын
Oh I 100% get how you feel about 'tarnishing' a notebook. But I can honestly say it's really worthwhile journalling about those topics and not just journalling for happy memory keeping. I had to remind myself that all my thoughts and feelings (even the negative ones) are valuable and deserve the space they take up in my notebooks. Your worry about others reading your negative words is a genuine concern too, i think it comes from internal 'shame' but you should give yourself the grace to have those 'shameful' thoughts and the space to let them out in order to work through them... sorry this ended up sounding like a self-help post lol

I had tried the sterling ink passport tn size and the vertical columns are just too narrow and small. This year I’m going with the sterling ink standard tn since it’s the same height as an a5 and but wide as a b6 slim.
@catspocketnote18 күн бұрын
That's a good point, I will measure my current hobonichi a6 weekly supplement columns and compare with the sterling ink passport tn size columns. Standard tn size would make use of my brown tn cover that's currently gathering dust in my drawer...i will consider that as an option though since I really love that cover. Thanks for sharing! gave me some ideas
@catspocketnote18 күн бұрын
Just checked and the columns seem to be the same size actually, 2cm wide. It’s tiny but I carry my planner around to work and want it to be portable above everything else!

I've used both Sterling Ink and Hobonichi A6 this year, and the reason that I went with SI for next year is because the Hobo A6 does not have weekly vertical pages and I had to use the supplement, but I found it frustrating to have to go back and forth between the books. But the SI A6 does have the yearly, monthly, weekly, and undated notes pages that are perfect for my planning needs. I'm using the SI A5 half year set for my personal health tracking, journaling, and memory keeping and will use that again next year but add in the SI A6 vertical compact for my work and school planning. Congrats on your first video! Glad it popped up in my yt home page, and looking forward to the next one :)
