Apart from rear diff shredding itself on a backflip before I even started sending it, steering link snapping on first tumble, front skid falling apart from bumping into a small rock while driving at half speed through grass, and front bulkhead breaking where steering linkage is held onto it when a curb jumped into it out of nowhere, I love mine 😅 If parts were available I wouldn't complain much, but had to order most stuff from across the pond so far and still waiting, meanwhile I'm using one truck to replace parts on the other as they break and melting plastic bits back together with a soldering iron + metal wires. I am impressed by how well it does on 2S and don't plan to try 3S until maybe closer to summer when/if 2S starts overheating. Also haven't noticed any issues with ESC response that I've seen many people complain about.

@@PigglyWigglyDeluxe to be fair it's been unusually cold this winter. Almost like it was a winter, we even had almost an inch of snow the other day 😅 So it's definitely done better than was expected of it, I am just a bit salty because we only got a certain few parts in EU shops and even that was low stock so those that were needed ran out quickly.

Agreed. I had low expectations for mine with the reviews, but it's a blast! In my opinion it handles rough terrain a LOT better than my mini e Revo VXL.

@@MikeLester-r4x no you cannot. SLT radio is not a DSMR radio so the 6200A cannot bind to a SLT3

I love my erevo! It does have a problem with esc breaking. I have lost three in the past 3 years and the third one happened this week and i wanted to know your opinions on how to prevent this Thank you!

@Zane-u1u you kinda can’t. That’s why Traxxas ESCs have a bad reputation because the red lights of death are just luck of the draw and there isn’t anything you can really do about it. All this time later since I posted this video, I’ve put a castle ESC in it, but the stock one hasn’t died yet (knock on wood!)

I've done some proper testing on mine for the first time today since getting them a few days ago. My son and I loved them initially and they were lots of fun indoors jumping over couch pillows and backflipping off of stuff in the apartment, but now the rear diff inner gears completely shredded on one during a backflip outside on pavement and steering link broke on a pretty mild nose dive off a jump into grass on another one so we're a bit disappointed as we didn't even go 3S yet. To be fair, it was pretty cold so let's attribute the broken link to winter, but I had really hoped we were done with shredding diffs on this new generation of Traxxas minis. Luckily those are some of the few replacement parts that I can actually find in stock in EU so they should be good as new in a few days and will be getting Savox servos while at it because wtf Traxxas why is 2056 still a thing in 2024 🤦🏻♂ At the new higher price, they should've at the very least included a metal gear servo and a slipper clutch so that a center diff would be a drop-in replacement without having to replace 2 other parts. Btw, what exactly is the difference between front and rear wheels? They seem to be identical in geometry, is it really just a different rubber compound? I kinda wanna try them on a properly setup MERV, since Mini Maxxes are down anyway... but if I blow them up there's no replacements in sight anywhere in EU 😅

@@FilipRadelic the difference between the wheels is compound, front tires are slightly stiffer but honestly I can’t tell a difference. I broke mine just today, busted a lower front diff case, which is also a hinge pin brace for the lower front arm

@ yeah I’ve been trying to blind-guess which is which by touching them and I have no clue so I think I’ll just not bother. Looks like ProLine Trenchers that were made for Rustler 4x4 fit, and with included wide offsets give it kind of a WideMaxx look. I think I’ll try that when stock ones blow up.

@@jollymark the more I drive it the more I like it. On its own merits in a vacuum it’s a great little truck. It’s bridging the gap between standard scale and small scale which is cool to see, but when you consider other options for the same money, it’s hard. It’s a shame too because it’s a great idea using standard scale parts like driveshafts and diff sizes, but I’m not entirely convinced that traxxas “read the room” properly. They always have an issue “reading the room”, like with the 2tec drift, drag slash, and electric Jato. They think they know what people want but I think they always miss that mark

Hey Piggly! Didn't realize I wasn't subbed to you on YT. Putting on my tinfoil hat, I have a theory that they put softer tires in the rear so it grips better for wheelies, since they like to advertise the truck looking cool and wheelying everywhere. And running on only 2S with a 4 pound car on the BL-2S system, I don't think wheelying is that easy without some added grip in the rear.

If you think about it, the rear ballooning would be less likely to affect control of the model than the wheels that do the steering changing shape abruptly. It’s for maintaining control and handling quality under power, and as far as I can tell it works out fairly well. She likes to do everything with the trigger pulled all the way in!

I swapped mine to 12mm hexes and put knobby buggy tires on it. Mine is also brushless swapped, I got it as a roller and had most of the parts on hand to convert it vs replacing everything that had been stripped. I love it as it is, but I broke the rear a arm last week and waiting on a replacement to arrive, and I could not for the life of me locate an RPM replacement

@@PigglyWigglyDeluxe I also have an electric swapped Revo 3.3, however, it has the typical weak transmission main shaft problem, every time I replace it, it breaks again. May have to swap in a center diff kit or a Revo 2.0 transmission to alleviate that issue, but I got an MT8 recently to sort of replace it. I personally have over 20 RC cars and basically none of them are stock anymore, currently the MT8 is the most stock

The ESC will only measure ESC temperature it won't know if the motor is running hot or not.
