hey, love your videos :) . i have one question though; would be this (or any other 80/85) good alternative to chinese pit bikes? ive had 125 chicom and while it wasnt bad, it still wasnt "that"... would be this good alternative or? with Big wheels im sure they should be big enough for 5.10 male :p .
@dirtbikemike4154 ай бұрын
Thanks! I would say that Japanese bikes will be tougher and more durable than Chineese bikes. So I will say that any 80 or 85 would be better in the long run for you.

Does yours want to stall if you don't rev it for a while? I go on slow trails and have to rev it just about every 7 seconds.
@dirtbikemike415 Жыл бұрын
Not really, but if it does check that the power valves are in working order and not dirty. Also make sure your carburetor jetting is corrrect to help make sure the bike doesn’t load up when lugging it around. But if I don’t rev it out for a really long time it will stall and I would have to change the spark plug.

Instead of spending all that money on just bling,we spent it on a big bore kit and stroker crankshaft and had the stock carburettor bored out 2mm and rejetted it to suit,plus reshaped the combustion chamber bowl and squish band for higher rpms..the result is 29.5 rwhp on the dyno and it makes the bike uncontrollable really in the twisties on the dirt,but a whole lot of fun in straight line drags,if you can somehow avoid looping it out on the bitumen.

Hey Dirtbike Mike! I have the same exact bike (2019 RM85)and I see that you added the FMF Fatty Gold Series pipe and the Turbincore 2 silencer. Did you do the installation yourself? Were there any issues during the installation? What kind of changes did it make for the bike? Did the Turbinecore 2 make the bike any quieter? Did it make the bike more powerful or faster? Later Dude!
@dirtbikemike4153 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting Kent, I installed the pipe and silencer my self. There was no issues during install, I did not have to modify anything during installation. It made my bike have a quicker throttle response time and it made it more crisp. The new exhaust did seem to increase the feeling of the power band. It also looked nice as well. The turbine core two definitely made it quieter because it’s longer, has more packing and it has a spark arrestor. It made the bike feel a bit faster and definitely increased power. Feel free to ask questions because I’m always available to answer them . Thanks 🙏.
@kenthartwell69803 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the detailed answers. The pipes do make the bike look great, plus the throttle response will be nice. Take it easy and stay on 2 wheels or at least 1!
