Wow, things moved slower in those days. Climate change has altered that too I assume.

Cam Ward, a Carolina legend who deserved so much better than how his last few years went...but my dude, I will never forget what you did, and you remain one of the only two jerseys I own. Thank you my dude!

1:43:27 I really, really hope this does not come back to bite Ward in the ass. These days concussions are rightfully given much more importance, and I would never trade a player's health for a Cup. But I understand his desire, and I hope we bring the franchise their second cup this year!

Yes they were. I worked at CBC for 36 years, and in those days, but the copies are in black and white due to the process they used in those days. I was 11 when this game was played, and began working there in 1984.

Someone needs to explain to me if Gary Throne really said 1940 is history after this goal or they decided to dub it in. This series wasn't the Finals so why woud he say that

5 time All Star "BRIAN PROPP" should be in HOF as he Scored 1000+ Pts in 1000+ Regular Season Games, The HIGHEST Scoring LW in NHL PLAYOFF History (64-84-148) that Won "GOLD" with Team Canada Twice. 2-Way Play resulted in Plus/minus of +298 in Career. IF Guy Carbonneau, Edgar Laprade, Steve Shutt is in HOF then #26 should be too but Original 6 Teams always get players who don't belong in HOF. FLYERS were always the NHL's "BAD BOYS" & get the shit end usually!!!

1:48:22 Dale Hunter not only trying to push Jagr into offsides, he tried to injure him. This could easily end up in a severe knee injury or a broken leg. When I see this game again after so many years, with today referee standards, they'd played 3vs3 most of the time 😊
@siobhanofarrell46468 күн бұрын
I wish - back in the 90s - you wouldn’t believe the number of referees who told Jarda to his face that they were not going to call penalties against him because he was a European. For the most part they let A LOT of penalties committed against Jarda and Mario slide because they said if they actually DID call all of them penalties the way they were supposed to - then the Pens would’ve spent most of the game on power plays

Ever notice how everything has so much more life here than today? The athletes, the announcers, the crowd. We've all become fat, complacent, passionless. That's what the billionaire class and politicians want. Don't take the easy road, that's what those snakes want. Take up a fighting discipline. Find a pursuit/hobby and aim to become the best at it that you can become. Be a warrior in a garden. Make passion and energy an indelible part of your identity. And never let a bunch of wimpy, weak-willed sportswriters get away with trying to take violence out of sports. They're merely witless tools, make sure they know their voices are useless.

Devils fan here. I still come back to this to watch in awe that Richter made the save on Zelepukin's original shot. Like, it was a wide open f'n net with the puck in the crease! Shouldn't even have been two tries at it. Richter was an animal that playoffs. Still pissed they won tho. LGD!
