On my playthrough of this map I used a combination of levees and explosives to make gutters and channels to channel the volcano water. Nothing fancy or massive like Skye Storm would do, just enough to make the area more useful

You might want to check the nature of the injuries of your beavers. If it's broken teeth, build more teeth grindstones (especially in Clearwater), otherwise build medical beds. The number of injured beavers is ever increasing, and you're already short a fair amount of beavers... Keep the content and the coffee flowing!

TNT some single wide good water rivers from volcano top. Use a sluice at each level to hold water. Branch out every other level. Spread the green. Build a 4 wide canal with levees to shortest way off map from volcano for bad tides. Also build a bad tide diversion for main water source.

The pump is pumping a little bit of bad water out, but there shouldn't be any. Maybe there's a bug. The flow meter would say how much bad water is in there, maybe I'll build one and find out.

@@MrStoneIV_ The Smallest map is Diorama. It's a challenge, on normal, because of space limits. Verticality is the key, but do normal 1st before you try it on Hard, because it's Hard on normal.

Really Stone, all you have to do is put sluices on the top side, then run an aqueduct out to the main water, you will never ever have to worry about flooding, and you won't have to manually stop the pump.

The sluice(s) is on the bottom and the pump will fill up the chimney thing and stop on it's own. It will let water out when the downstream level is 1.75 (I think I set it for).

@@MrStoneIV_ Correct, but I am not talking about the bottom, if the pump is left on the chimney will overflow, an aqueduct at the top leading back to the outside would not only look nice, but make it so nothing overflows. As long as it has enough flow to keep up with the pump output ^^

Bot factories = More power. Get those water wheels going. No, you don't need that corner. You do need the space UNDER the pump filled as well, in order to make it stop. Now it will fill until it flows out under the pump back into the river. It will make a cure little waterfall when wind has refilled it. If it was connected to other power, it would be wasteful. Since it's not connected, the extra is all wasted anyway. Don't connect it. The pump would drag 700hp away from industry, at all times.

General way to speed up Everything the beavers do? More Haulers. The 2nd Hauling post can be low priority instead of normal. Then the 3rd should again be normal. 4th is lowest. Set some of your scrap collectors to low & lowest priority. And your (Already retired & scrapped) Scientists. If there is a problem, because of injuries or death-waves, you're already setup so that it's Less of a problem.

You can't reach the metal platforms on top of the platforms. It won't tell you that until the 3P under it is built. You need a 1P & 2 stairs to reach the bottom of each.

Correct. Having the water go back & forth doesn't help. You will want a Dam & Floodgate, paired, in the side of your canal. So that the pondless pump will only overflow into the river, not the croplands. Also lets the pump clear out the other side into the river during droughts and the start of badtides.

Does flowing water evaporate? Imagine a canal that has a pump up high and then flows out and down around a U where sluices allow the water back out to be pumped up again. I imagine it probably evaporates, but it would be neat if it didn't.

They reveal a certain number of holes. You can upgrade them to reveal more, but once they reveal whatever that number is they go away.

Maybe I am wrong and it is 1 height higher but I am pretty sure because you have built the pump on platforms not levees it will leak. Thanks :)

You've finished the badwater rig So no more badwater from the volcano This means, no more badwater can be pumped during fresh water season - thus no more explosives Only during badtide season when the other water sources in the volcano give badwater Nice start with the reservoir between the pump and the channel (one sluice gate would've been enough, but three will work as well) However, unless you put the pump on levees instead of on platforms, the water will just flow back to the outside of the wall Also, make sure the beavers can build the complete top layer of the reservoir (either go up with stairs, or work with priorities/pausing some levees so they build the middle ones first) Keep the content and the rhe coffee flowing!

"Does the math check out?" - No. 110 / 5 = 22 gears that each gear workshop has to make. Ok 22 / 3h = 8h No. This would mean if it took 9hs instead of 3hs it would happen Faster. 22 * 3h = 66hrs for the 5 gear workshop to make all 110 of the gears. Assuming, of course, that they have Full Power, and a ready supply of planks. Plus travel time to pick up planks & deliver gears. Prioritize by hauler can offset this, until too many things are a priory.

Unfortunately, on KZbin there is only a small percentage of people that watch more then 15 minutes at a time. SO, if if I record longer videos, say 1 hour, and only 20% of the video is watched, KZbin assumes it must be pretty boring so it doesn't get recommended to other people. BUT, if you can get a watch percentage of 75% or even 60-100% then the recommendation goes way up. I love 1 hour videos, but alas, I am one of the few.

Hapy Saturday! I believe it only show if someone follows if they have following set to public or who they have subscribed to as public. Something like that :) There is some setting in there. I believe it is (120 / 5) X 3. I could be wrong but every 3 house you get 1 plank so you would not divide by 3 since the 3 hours would increases the time not cut it down. Two more games that you could play is Factorio and the expansion Factorio Space Age. Thanks for sharing!

I have a neat idea, this will be a long one. Why don't you make a small reservoir out of levees that the pump dumps into, then at the bottom have sluices to regulate the flow into your stream, then at the top of the reservoir add more sluices off to the side for overflow inti an aqueduct that leads back out to the river and you could even line the aqueduct with water wheels! That way you have no flooding and no worries about your stream getting too full! Sorry for it being long, but this would be awesome! XD

You Also need an exit out the back so you don't poison Clean River during a badtide. The other diverters are in place already. Just put waterwheels in Both outflows and you'll have power either way, extra during the wet season. Don't forget the water wheels in the river outflow (just past the new pump), that you are about to blast down to ensure bad-flow. The Spadderdock field still needs a wall around it. But if you built the field on the other side, it would not need a wall. You should already turn the setting up on the river sluices to .8 or even .9, (.5 is too low) so that's fine for Spadderdock. The pump needs a pond, at it's level, to auto-stop the pump & prevent flooding. The pond needs a Sluice to outflow into the canal, controlling the water level in it. Optional on normal. The missing bit is another wall downstream that helps hold more in Clean River during a drought. Optional on normal. The canal Could have an outflow, (floodgates behind dams) into the river to start getting water back into the river earlier when the badtide ends.

The bad tide will kill all the spadderdock. I will pause the farms. The location is temporary, it will move into the canal to the "east" when the mechanical pump is done.

@@brianmiller1077 The only Real advantage of the pump is keeping the canal 100% clean, which doesn't really matter without Lido's in it. But it's also good practice for using a pump. Seeing how well the wind powers it by itself (not enough). Checking how much power the bad/water going past gives...
