@surfnshowreviews77773 сағат бұрын
@@RM-xl7yv I personally like Xero Gravity better for performance surfing in the pool, and I prefer Sub Xero over the Fusion in the pool too. My turns on Sub Xero are way faster and have more flow compared to the Fusion. You will see that when we drop the Sub Cero review soon. Out of these 3 boards I like Gravity best for performance in the pocket with bit of rail line for more drive compared to Sub Xero. So there you have it… I like Xero Gravity best.

How do you feel about this board vs the Mashup?
@surfnshowreviews77773 сағат бұрын
@@yorodan The Fusion offers way more performance in the pocket. It surfs the pocket like a HPSB. The Mashup is a bit more mellow… with its wider outline in the nose. The Mashup is fun and it can shred too but its wide point in front of center and the width in the nose really makes you surf more down the line and carve compared to the Fusion.

Noel , great review. I have noticed over the years as your weight has gone up and down your volume does not change much. I think at one point you were almost 10lbs heavier but using same volume. I did my best surfing on a board that many would consider 2 liters under volumed for me years ago. I always chalked it up to youthful agility. But maybe it’s the extra width / extra volume and less rocker that I do not need???
@surfnshowreviews77773 сағат бұрын
@@coldseamonster You are correct… I gained roughly 10 lbs after hip surgery and I only volumed up on my recovery. If I was still surfing the ocean at 100% after surgery and I weighed 10lbs more I would go up roughly 1L. So my volume range at 172 lbs would be 26-28L in the ocean. Surfing Waco or Kelly’s wave pool I like less volume… roughly 1L less compared to my Ocean boards. I really focus on picking boards to review that have less overall rocker for our community. These types of boards suited my home breaks in So Cal best and now Waco too. Now if my home break was Hawaii, Blacks, Mexico or somewhere that gets super hollow and way more power then my boards would be a bit longer and maybe 1L more in volume.

Home break is Huntington Beach. 5’10.5” tall and ~180 lbs. Intermediate advanced. Hoping to size down on length to fit better in pocket on 3-5ft+ days. One of the best podcasts I've watched in a long time! You guys got great chemistry: Van being able to articulate and delve into questions a lot of surfers always want to ask and know--and Noel with straight up genuine, sincere, and equally articulate in responses to these great questions. Good stuff fellas!! So much stuff that's relatable to you Noel--I took 10 years off too and just got back into surfing this past summer. Started on longboards and then made my first buy--the RNF 96--because of the descriptions on your show--and it has been great! I'm at the point now where I feel like I'm at about or close to where I was when I left off surfing. And looking for my next small wave board. I live on the South Shore of Oahu. I'm gonna go with the NB2--loved your review of that board and loved the lines you were drawing on it and the angular and pronounced turns! George Bernard Shaw said--"those who can't do, teach..." Its funny how people claim control and a “voice” (like they want to be part of the decisions and management) over content creators and content on social media, but then over politics and economy (housing, food, energy, credit, healthcare, etc) they relegate everything to an elite and have zero concern over the decisions and management of private individuals and companies 😅 get your shit together citizens, whats more important? Economy can and should be democratized, but the main and most important sectors, not content creators. (Americans will read this as communism)

@ Cheers…. Sponsors are vital to us staying in the game. Each episode we produce takes roughly 30 hours of our time. Product testing, water time, video time, editing time, product knowledge time, story boarding…. Etc. Not to mention answering all the questions from our community on each episode. This episode and all the Favorite Finds episodes in the past are the hardest for me to do… we really make no money but I believe there are excellent products out there that our community need to know about. The fact that Vaer Watches are legit and made by surfers that appreciate what we do for the surf community I am stoked to share with you guys about their epic products.
