Alot of misinformation in the video. November 2022 is where they changed the price from R400 to R600 and as of 2024 the price is still R600 ONLY if your passport is within the 6 months BEFORE it being expired or already expired. Any passport that is still valid, meaning having 6 months + 1 day & above is considered a valid document...you have to pay R1200. Reason why...Home Affairs HQ said cause it's still a valid passport, only reason. And when going to the area receiving your passport, you still have to wait in line if they will direct you to the correct line. Expect rude employees and alot of shuffling

hello, my girlfriend wants to come over for a holiday to the UK. The issue we have is not funds or that we don't know each other (I will be her sponsor and I have met her twice) but that she has no ties to South Africa. She has recently graduated her 3rd year in BA law. She is not currently enrolled into a university but is searching for a bursary to be enrolled. She has no job. she has a good house and family. Can I use this as strong ties? if not what can I find as a way around this issue? is there something else? or do I need to wait till she is enrolled in a university?

Very informative video. Just a quick heads up to everyone that is going the bank route. You need to be a client of the bank that you intend on using. Currently ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB and Nedbank offers these services. Your account number is linked to your ID number so you can only make payments for yourself. So if you have children under the age of 16 and you are trying to make applications on their behalf using your banking details, it's not going to work.
