Ah! Thanks again for playing! Yes, KQ6 is evil. There are so many softlocks. Three just in the underworld alone that will prevent you from completing the game. It's so "Sierra" of them to design it that way! I'm anxious to watch your process of self discovery as you navigate the seemingly innocuous events that can lead to horrific dead ends! Yay! Something I discovered in the original game that is a serious loophole error can happen after you visit the beast. Before you give the ring to beauty, if you go into the pawn shop and trade back the magic map for your insignia ring, the game will still automatically send you to the Isle of the Beast with beauty. Then, you are permanently stuck on the island because you don't have the map anymore. The demake does not allow this to happen. On an unrelated note, if you missed getting the pearl, it is logical to think you can trade the map back for your ring to give to sing sing. You can do the trade, but sing sing will disappear. Sing sing will only appear in the tree if you have the magic map. It wouldn't be good anyway, because you wouldn't have anything to trade to get the map back if you gave the ring to sing sing.

This demake also does give you three opportunities to get the pearl from the oyster like in the original, however as you said, it might not be as apparent, because it is not close up and giving you a hand icon. Luckily, getting the pearl or the ring is not necessary to complete the game (unless your clothes burn and you didn't get the hair! I guess in this version it IS necessary depending). If you don't give the ring, the results will be that Cassima is more surprised by your showing up at the castle, and at the final wedding scene, when they ask for your ring, Alexander will say "Sorry it's in the pawn shop." Cassima will say something like "It's okay, Alexander! We can go buy it back later!"

It's great fun to watch you play! Love your voice acting! THANK GOODNESS you had a save game before the druids. Otherwise you would have been stuck for good and that would be heart breaking. In the original game, if you do not get the hair from the hair ribbon, you will be forced to get the hair from the burning clothes as you are hanging over the druid fire. I intentionally created a dead end where this hair is not given to you. I thought it was ridiculous that Alexander would notice and get the hair in such a dire situation. So, the two main "softlocks" in this game that are different from the original are this hair issue, and also being allowed into the catacombs the first time without having all the necessary items. All other unwinnable states are faithful to the original.

While watching you, I forgot how much there was, and I kept thing “Oh my gosh! Is that all in there?!” And I’ve never understood that four button logic cliff puzzle either. I guess the third button is NOT a son at all, and the order is kind of backwards. Really weird. Anyways, thanks so much for playing! I’ve been having a blast watching.
