Can that stock be installed on a Maverick 88 Cruiser?

If you get this shield make sure to get 4-40x1/2 screws so it will hold correctly specially on a 590 or 590 A1

The heat shield works fine for 6-rd magazine tubes but creeps on 7 w/o lug to stop it.

Have one on my 500. I'm going to put one on my 930. outstanding shield.

can this fit a 20 gauge model mav 88?

Wondering if the heat shield would stand up to swapping out the barrel? I have the Maverick 88 Field/Security combo that comes with 2 barrels and use the longer one for target shooting and swap the shorter security barrel out when i leave the range. Also have the pistol grip/folding stock and love it compared to the original stock.

160 rounds? That’s 30 mins of target shooting at most

I bought one of these for my maverick 88 3 years ago. Works great. I have shot over 2 thousand rounds with this on my Mav both this heat Sheild and my Maverick 88 has performed flawlessly. I have never had to mess with the shield or adjust it one time it has never budged. Great product.

Cool. I'm looking to add a 300blk upper to my 556 Saint Victor. I want to swap back and forth so was trying to determine how difficult that might be.

I bought this exact heat shield based off your review of it. Just took it shooting for the first time and it crept so bad that it jammed the forend, and I couldn't load more ammo into it. I noticed the creeping after my first load of shots (8 rounds). After 24 rounds is when it crept so far that the encircling clamp jammed the forend.

Shoot I scored a upper at psa for 200 and got there lower for 75.00 not bad for a 275 ar15 they had ones that people ordered a returned or didn’t pickup cheap regular 460 for the upper

Been looking for a heat shield replacement, currently have the blue steel heat shield that came with the gun and every time I shoot it comes loose. Is there a person that makes these that has a website? I really want to try this because ever since I took the heat shield off my gun looks weird and I’ve gotten the barrel pretty hot a couple of times.

Hey I know this is a super old video but I’m pretty sure that isn’t your Upper & Lower not being 100% flush. I’m pretty sure that’s the hand guard making that noise because the bolts are loose. Would always recommend tightening your hand guard bolts before doing the wiggle test.

Can upper be from any company? It doesn't have to be from a same company made lower?

Bought this upper to replace a 7.5 springfield saint. Hope the marriage with the saint lower is tight! 👍

that light “can easily illuminate somebody 600 feet away”……i HIGHLY doubt that. Other than that, great vid, Love what you’ve done to the Maverick. Looks awesome

My mag tube doesnt want to fully screw back together with the heat shield on. It will screw together tight but has a gap about the thickness of a small coin. You have this issue or anyone else?

The screws are running the other way is that because of it fits better this way

I have the same heat shield on my 590, and I love it. Obviously super affordable, but very well designed and functional. Installation takes all of 3 minutes. Absolutely would recommend. The only drawback is that it looks, well, like polymerized fiberglass.

I put one like this on mine over 9 yrs ago. I can’t remember who makes it, probably the same as this one. I wasn’t sure about the polymer but figured what the hell. Mine has never moved nor has the polymer fatigued. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the thickness of it obscured half my bead sight. I filed it a little bit down at the nose end and used a rat tail file to file a slight groove.

Just put my odin works upper on an Anderson. It's more exciting than a new car. Almost as cool as a new pair of skis
