Thanks man! I got into Looney Tunes and I always wanted to get it on dvd because it is a really good classic cartoon. And I found out the golden collection is the best for the most variety of cartoons. Thanks for helping me out with avoiding a bootleg for the real deal! So I did clear research on eBay to see what is not bootleg and I found one by inspecting the images. It was brand new too. Excited to watch these and thank you for preventing me from falling for a bootleg set

The problem is when you buy this from ebay or Amazon, the pictures of the box set is probably the original.... then when you place your order, they send you the bootleg set..... you could still probably get your money back, but its always a pain in the ass.... is there a legit website you can order from???

Hy there, I think they put those monkeys on intravenous LSD infusion, than they had to inhale mustard gas, and the "Happy litte cloulds and trees" came all by themselves...and of course lite blue hydrogen masks and orange and brown pullovers with yellow flowers on them...and hence the tune is: Shouuu_Youu_Ouuu_Ouuu_ouuuuu_Houuuuu__Dan-dildeee-dunnnn-dan-daaaan-didldee- Bumbum- phijhuuuuuu - Come on fellas, let´s collect money to fix those terrible teeth, huh? - Wouldn´t this be groovy?

Totally rockin' Thanks for sharing. I have their album. I believe the musicians behind this were also responsible for the 1910 Fruit gum company/ The Archies and other bubblegum acts. Maybe even some of the Wrecking Crew members.

I can probably find a little more into for you on the musicians. This was a West Coast-based project, while Archies and 1910 FG were East Coast. There could have been some Cracking Crew members involved, but I'm sure there were a ton of eager studio musicians eager for work. As well as dudes in garage bands. "She La Love You" was written by songwriters Price and Walsh, who wrote it for the Grass Roots. They passed and it was given to the chimps. The singer is Steve Hoffman, a songwriter and lead singer/guitarist for the Mystic Astrologic Crystal Band, which cut two albums in the late sixties. Hoffman sang the title theme and also wrote and sang lead for the Evolution Revolution.

These are STILL floating around.... Returning mine. Another thing I was able to do is drag-and-drop files from the disc directly to my PC desktop, no copy protection.

It says that it's uncut and I assume that means that certain shorts that were censored for later earrings that were heavily censored are restored but does that also mean that it has shorts like the Bosco shorts and the sensored 11?

Hey, just wanted to let you know, this is probably a bootleg set, however, the 356 episodes was changed to 375 on later releases of the official set, also the discs on the later release are a little blurry because of all of the reusing of the disc artwork to put these sets out

yes. The only true way to know for sure if your set is legit is to check if the discs are dual layer.

So, I was about to purchase this box set from ebay, For $79.95 Australian. I thought the grey on the pic of the package was closer to the good one above, more so the the blue grey dodgy one. But then on their notes on the ebay ad it say 375, rather than 356. So now I'm not sure. It's listed as brand new, were the bootleg ones listed as brand new? Is anyone able to help?

@The Goo Fighters yes I wish I got a reply to my comment earlier. I already bought and now returned the set. DVD cases were hard to open and the discs were discoloured.

Wow I’m glad I found this. I almost bought 1 from eBay. I’m getting it straight from Amazon now. Shockingly, there’s little info about this set. I was worried because I noticed the sets were done up video rental style with the covers inside the case. The original sets weren’t like that. They came in a box and opened like a book. I was worried that the interior notes and artwork were missing in this new design but I see they are not.

Thank you, sir! I got this off eBay and once it came in and I started opening up and looking at the discs - the print quality on the dvds and the covers looked so awful and the color was off. Sigggggh - but thank you for confirming my suspicions!!!

Can anyone clarify, are their official versions of this box set with "375" printed on the side now?

Yeah mine says 375 episodes but looks to be an offical reprint. I tried copying the episodes to my computer and it wouldn't let me meaning is has correct encryption only on official DVDs. Also I noticed the DVDs start on the right hand side of the case.

Are the fake discs pressed or burned? If they're burned like most fakes they'll be blue/black, while the official pressed ones will be silver. Unless of course the fakes are also pressed but fake pressed discs are pretty rare since it's more expensive and they want to make them as cheaply as possible.

The video quality is noticeably worse, though. Lots of compression artifacts. But the disc surface looks like a "normal" DVD.

Thanks for sharing this. I have the UK release (which I could have swore only has 349 episodes, need to double check - unless there’s a bootleg UK version) but I was looking into buying the US version and this was so helpful. I see a lot of the ‘375 episodes’ ones on eBay in the listing images, so looks like I was pay a little extra and get my copy straight from Amazon. UPDATE: Ordered from Amazon and still had 375 episodes! Returned and will be buying the original individual boxes...

Just look at the bottom of the discs....If its a silver on the bottom it is real. If it's black-ish, it's fake. You're welcome.

I got mine 5 years ago for 55$ the only thing tht indicates it’s fake is the plastic on the case other than tht the special features play well u think it’s a fake
