It just doesn't spring open, we set the tension accordingly and you can adjust it easily too once installed.

I watched the video, top section easy, side rails follow the instructions to the letter as i set it up slightly wrong by watching the video, thought it wouldn't fit, pissed off went downstairs and read the instructions for the side rail, i hadn't done as instructed, Oops, went back and sorted my error, perfect result for a very old GGL1 velux window.

@@skylightblindsdirect2138 you miss the point. This is not a DIY product. This is an off-the-shelf product. DIY means that you do it yourself (surprise), not you buy it already done yourself. _EDIT_ or even, "buy it already done ourself and pay yourself for a good handyman to install it".
