this was quite a series in his day simply over the top and very expensive to produce thanks to Patrick McGoohan himself the producer on this show very sixties and who remembers Jools holland sending it up

James' pieces to camera are just fantastic. Clarkson's are good and there's a few others too but Burke is best. Then again, look at his subject matter.

Superb bit of footage, getting good shot of how close West Burton is on the horizon. Nice move pulling them down..... they'd power 4 million homes between them just when we need it.

I always enjoyed the fact that Baddiel looked so feminine and mimed to the original vocal so well, but when he said “what do I pay you for exactly?” he made no effort to sound anything other than manly. Genius.

Incredible. And James Burke was the face we all knew on this side of the pond for intelligent commentary on the greatest feat of mankind ever accomplished, in 1969.

It will be sad to see it being demolished to make way for new housing etc.

I remember watching this the first time around and for the first 10 seconds thought it was actually them.

Sutton bridge is in Lincolnshire . But the river Nene is the border between Norfolk and lincolnshire at that point . Good filming cheers

What a pair of dicks, they should have done their research on Siobhan Fahey who is a talented songwriter and vocalist. It was Siobhan Fahey's bridge on "Stay" that made the song and the video a massive success, she was portraying unhinged and unmerciful in her actions and lyrics and she did it so well that the song is now iconic.
